May 25 Guide Sunday:
The Brownies met Monday after-
noon. After the opening ceremony,
Brown Owl conducted a discussion
period on the recruit teat. Next
week we shall know who's who be-
cause our Sixers will be wearing
stripes and all Fairies and Elves
will have their six emblems, These
were given out at the meeting. The
girls enjoyed some games with
Brownie interest. All Sixers and
Seconds were asked to bring ma-
terials for sewing next week. All
were happy to welcome back Carol
Brown.
Miss Irene Douglas, of London,
formerly of Hensall,, will be the
guest speaker at the meeting of
the Evening Auxiliary in the Unit-
ed Church on Monday, M, y 12, at
8:15. The members of the W.M.S.
of the United. Church, the Arnold
Circle of Carmel Presbyterian
Church ;and the young women of
St. Paul's Anglican Church will be
guests.
Mr. Robt. McDougall, of Moose
Jaw, Sask., is visiting with his
cousin, Miss Minnie Reid.
Mrs. James W. Ben returned last
Friday from Oaklands, Calif„ where
she had been spending the winter
months.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bean are get-
ting nicely settled in their home in
the village.
Mrs. Anaie Logan has purchased
the Hoggarth property on Rich-
mond St. North, and with her sis-
ter, "Mrs, Harvey, will move in the
near future.
Mr. Ron Llishfield, of Huntsville,
and Ross Morton, of Ottawa, who Mr. and Mrs. Valentine and four

Dr. Clarence Hulley, of the Uni-
versity of Alaska, in Fai.irbanks,
visited with his cousins, Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence, and Mr. and Mrs,
T. Laing, enroute to Washington.
Dr. Hulley was born in Staffa and
went West to Manitoba as a small
boy in 1910 with Ms parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Hulley.
