pleasing feature.
Death of Miss M. Murray
A retired nurse, native of Luck -
now, and a former resident of Hen-
sall, Miss Margaret Murray, died
Saturday at Victoria Hospital,
London, in her 86th year after a
month's illness. She lived at 736
Queen's Ave., London. She was a
registered nurse for 38 years and
during World War I, when she was
on the staff at Cumberland Street
Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., she was
a member of the Edith Cavell Club.
She returned to London after the
war to nurse her mother, Mrs.
Elizalleth Murray, and had been
retired since liter mother's death 23
years ago. Two sisters and a broth-
er survive. They are Miss Georg-
ina Murray, with whom she lived;
Mrs..Mary Lindsay, of Sombra, and
John Murray, in St. Petersburg,
Fla. Service was held Monday at..
the Needham Memorial Chapel,
London, with the Rev. R. R. Con-
ner, of King St. United Church, in
charge. Interment was in Wood-
land cemetery.
Mrs. Jas, Sangster, who has been
in poor health for the past few days
was taken to Clinton Hospital on
Tuesday of this week.
The Town Hall was filled Fri-
day evening for the euchre and

euchre were: Ladies, Mrs_ Taylor,

ished by the Syncopators.
The annual Christmas party spon-
sored ,by the Chamber of Com-
merce and Hensall Branch of the
Canadian Legion will be held in
Hensall Saturday, Dec. 15. Santa
Claus will arrive at Hensall at 2
p.m. and treats will be distributed
to the children of the village and
surrounding districts. The merch-
ants are sponsoring a free draw
for the ladies, and the draw for
$25, $15, $10, and two $5, will take
place at 3:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.
There will also be a free picture
show for the children.
The town 'hall was packed Satur-
day night for the CKNX Barn
Dance, sponsored by Kippen East
Women's Institute. The organiza-
tion cleared over $115.

Mr. Harry Caldwell, of Kippen,
who underwent a major operation
in Clinton Hospital Saturday, is
doing nicely.

Smale, of London, spent the week-
end at their home 'here.
Honored With Presentation
The home of Mr, and Mrs. Ross
Sararas, Cromarty, was the scene
of a delightful affair Tuesday last
when some fifty neighbors and
friends gathered for a presentation
for Mrs. S. Sararas, of Hensall, who
recently tools up residence here,
end who was a resident of Crom-
arty district for many years. Bingo
was a highlight of the evening.
Mrs. Sararas was presented with a
trilight floor lamp and money. The
accompanying address was read by
Percy Wright, and the presentation
made by Bob Parsons. Luncheon
was served.

Wingham last Thursday night.

The W.O.A_,A. this year is spon-
