The highlight of the meeting was.
a very interesting talk by Mrs. D.
Glenn Campbell, "Behold My Hands
and My Feet." Hymn 523 was sung
and the meeting closed by repeat-
ing the Lord's Prayer in unison.
Lunch was served by the social
committee.

Ladies' Guild Has Meeting.—On
Tuesday afternoon the Ladies'
Guild of St. Thomas' Church met
in the Parish Hall with 17 mem-
bers answering the roll call. The
president, Mrs. Raymond Nott, pre-
sided and the meeting opened with
Miss Mary Galbraith reading the
Scripture lesson from the 26th
Psalm. Prayers for the parish
were followed by the Lord's Prayer
in unison. The secretary read the
minutes of the last meeting, which
were adopted as read, as was the
treasurer's report. Following the
reading of the correspondence, the
report from the Board of Manage-
ment was'given. After the remain-
ing.•business was discussed the col-
lection was received and dedicat-
ed. The meeting closed with the
president, Mrs. Nott, pronouncing
the benediction.

broidered organdy over blue taffeta
with matching gloves and pointed
hat, the bride carried pink roses.
Helen Riddell attended her, wear-
ing heavy gold taffeta with match-
ing halo hat and blue accessories.
She carried white and mauve sweet
peas. Joseph Shiley was best man.
The groom's mother received in
gray silk with corsage of coral
roses. To travel, the bride chose
a two-tone gray suit with red straw
hat and red and white accessories.

Men's Club Holds Final Meeting.
—The final meeting of the Men's
Club of First 'Presbyterian Church
until October was held Tuesday
evening when the members of the
Ladies' Aid"from Tuckersmith and
McKillop provided a delicious re -
post. Mrs. H. R. Scott was in
charge, with 95 in attendance. Jas.
T. Scott led in community singing
with Ron Rennie at the piano, ale
ter which Mr. and Mrs. James A.
Stewart sang "Lassie 0' Mine" and
"Go, Pretty Rose," accompanied by
Mrs. 3. E. Keating. Rev. D. Glenn
Campbell introduced the guest
speaker, Joe Connell, of the Y.M.
C.A., Kitchener, in a very original
manner. Mr. Connell spoke on
"What Makes People Queer."
Jack Patterson thanked the speak-
er for his remarks. John Beattie
and J. G. Mullen sang, "Carry Me
Back To Old Virginia" and "When
You and I Were Young, Maggie,"
accompanied by Mrs. E. Geddes.
J. E. Keating thanked the ladies,
after which favors were present-
ed to them. C. Reith spoke, thank-
ing all those who had taken part
in helping to complete the redec-
orating of the Sunday School.
Mention was made of the summer
recess and the next supper to be
held in October. The meeting clos-
ed with "Auld Lang Syne?'

Father of Former Principal Dies.
—Funeral services for William
George Fox, 82, of Lambeth, were
held Tuesday at Lambeth and FIor-
ence. Mr. Fox, who farmed for
many years near Florence, died
Monday at Mason Villa Private
Hospital, London. He is •survived
by his wife, the former Clara
Blanche Adams; two sons, Edward
Lorne Fox, principal of Petrolia
High School, and James Harold
Fox, dean of the School of Educa-
tion of George Washington Uni-
versity, Washington, D.C.; four
grandchildren; three brothers, Rob-
ert of Wallaceburg; Herbert and
Stephen Fox, of Vancouver; and
two sisters, Mrs. Alexander Wright
of Wallaceburg, and Mrs. Thomas
Henderson, of Manville, Alta.
Burial was at Florence.

The menthly meeting of the Q.
W. L. was held in the hall with. a
fair - attendance. The president,
Mrs. Ryan, opened the meeting
with prayer, The minutes as read
were adopted. Two bags of litera-
ture
itersture were reported sent tie Mis-
sions. A box of treats and a spiri-
tual bouquet have been sent to the
spiritual • advisor, Rev. Father
O'Drowski, who we all regret is
quite ill. Correspondence was read
and discussed. The treasurer's re-
port showed a substantial balance.
A cake, which was donated by a
member, on which tickets were
sold to those at the meeting, was
won by Mrs. John A. Murphy. This
drawing was introduced as a novel
means of interesting the members
in the -meetings. Plans were made
for the pot -luck supper to be held
at the Lions Park, Seaforth, in
July. Tile meeting closed with
prayer.
Hospital Aid
Meets In Exeter
The Hospital Aid to Scott Mem-
orial Hospital held' their closing
meeting before the summer months
at Monetta Menards at Exeter.
Thirty members sat down to a de-
licious chicken dinner, and each
member was presented with a
pansy corsage by Mrs. E. A. Mc-
Master
o-Master and Mrs. Wm. Hart. The
dinner was preceeded. by a sing-
song with Mrs. G. A. Whitney at
the piano.
The president, Miss Dorothy
Parke, was in the chair for the
meeting that followed. Minutes of
last meeting were read by the sec-
retary, Mrs. Bruce McLean, and
adopted. A letter of thanks from
Miss Drope, superintendent of the
hospital, thanking the Aid for the
lovely furnituthey have placed
in the front hall of the hospital,
was read. Miss R. Shinen read the
treasurer's report in the absence
of Mrs. R. S. Box. Over $297 was
realized from the penny sale, and
a balance of $574 reported in the
bank. It was decided to curtail
any events for the summer months.
Tentati,ye plans were discussed
for the annual rummage sale to be
held in October, with Mrs. A. W.
Si.liery as convener. The nominat-
ing committee, with Miss R. Shin -
en as convener, and Mrs. Charette
and Mrs. A. Y. McLean, was elect-
ed, their slate of officers to be
brought in to the first meeting in
September.
A vote of thanks was tendeded
Mrs. Wm. Hart and her committee
for making the dinner such a suc-
eess. The meeting closed with
community singing and "God. Save
the King."

The meeting of the Golden Links
Mission Band was held June 10 in
the classroom of the church. It
was opened' with the Mission Band
Purpose, followed by Hymn 453.
The roll was answered with 23
present. The minutes of the last
meeting were read} and adopted,
and the collection amounted to
$1.10. Joyce Jewitt read the Scrip-
ture lesson from chapter 6, verses
9-13, St. Matthew's Gospel. Hymn
425 was sung. The business, was
discussed, and it was decided to
continue paying birthday fees.
Those having birthdays from July
to January are to pay theirs at
the next meeting in July, Mrs.
Riley read the story book, and the
meeting closed with all repeating
bhe Lord's Prayer.
The Sunday School anniversary
will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Rev. Scott, of Blyth, will be in
charge of the services, and the
junior choir will render special
music.
The community picnic will be
held in the Lions Park, Seaforth,
on Friday, June 22.
