station, Rice Motors, will of-
ficially open its doors to the
motoring public this weekend.
While business has been done
since last fall, the actual con-
struction of the building and
the appointment of the staff
has been just completed with-
in the fast few weeks.
The building is constructed
of cement block and structural
steel. The front, bearing the

name of the firm and the trade
name of the gasoline sold, is
painted white. Nearly 4,000
square feet of space is avail-
able in the building for the
mechanical and business activi-
ties of the Staff. The main gar-
age floor takes up most of the
space. There are two hydrau-
lic hoists for under -carriage
work, and the latest equipment
for greasing and washing. Re-
pairs to all makes of cars are

officially opened this week -end.
Featuring the opening is the
offer of a free grease job for
every ten gallons of gasoline
purchased on Friday, Saturday
or Sunday,
done by expert mechanics.
The building is 45' x 85', and
included in this space is a
modern showroom for new
cars and office facilities. The
general contractor was Joseph
T. Hugill, Seaforth, while the
heating, plumbing and roofing
was done by F. Kling, and
Dean Davidson, Brussels, did
the wiring. General hardware
was supplied by The Crown
'Hardware, and Lou Bailey
painted the building.
Rice Motors have been ap-
pointed an associate dealer of
Samis Motors, Goderich, to
handle Pontiac and Buick mot-
or
otor cars and G.M.C. trucks. Mc-
Coll-Frontenac oil products will
be sold, as well as General
Tires.

Jahn Rice, the owner, was
born in Tuckersmith, the son
of the late Rodger Rice and
Mrs. Rice. He received his
early education at S.S. 5, Tuck-
ersmith and .Seaforth District
High School.
Previous to establishing his
new business in Seaforth, he
was in partnership with Geo.
McCutcheon, Brussels, for five
years.
Mr. Rice has a new home on
North Main Street. He is mar-
ried and has two children.

Moss, the Rev. K. McKenzie offici-
ated at the wedding of Elaine
Grace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.1
D. M. Secord, Glencoe, and John
Gordon Kinsman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Kinsman, Kippen. Stan-
ley Betts played the wedding mus-
ic and Georgie Betts was soloist.
Entering the church with cher
father, the bride was lovely gown-
ed in duchess white satinfashion-
ed with nylon yoke edged in frills
of chantilly lace. Her full gather-
ed skirt swept to a train, and clus-
ters of lily -of -the -valley held in
place her fingertip veiL Mrs. John
Livingston, as matron of honor for
her sister, wore white frosted mar-
quisette over blue taffeta, and the
remaining bridal attendants, Miss
Lois Bryan, Mrs. Russell Ferguson
and Miss Mary Secord, were gown-
ed in. yellow mauve and green frost-
ed marquisette over taffeta. Robt.
Kinsman attended this brother as
best man, and John. Livingston,
Russell Ferguson and Lloyd Fergu-
son were ushers. Following a re-
ception at the home of the bride's
parents, the couple left for a. trip
to Northern Ontario, the bride
travelling in a suit -of sunset rose
with navy accessories and a cor-
sage of white orchids. Mr. and
Mrs. Kinsman will reside on the
groom's. farm at Cromarty.

Attend Deanery W.A.
The spring meeting of the Angli-
can Deanery of Huron was help in
Goderich at St. George's Church, on
Friday, May 25., Holy Communion
was celebrated with Rev. E. O.
Lancaster, Wingham, as celebrant,
and Rev. B. H. Farr, Goderich;
Rev. R. M. P. Bulteel, Clinton, and
Rev. Wm. Roberts, Blyth, as as-
sistants.
Delegates were present from
Bayfield, Blyth, Brussels, Clinton,
Exeter, Fordwich, Gorrie, Hensall,
Goderich, Middleton, Varna, Wing -
ham, Wroxeter and Seaforth.
Special speakers were Rev. H.
G. Watts, of the M.S.C.C., of the
Anglican Church, •and Rev. J. S.
Harrington, of the U.C.B.S.

London, for the wedding on Satur-
day morning, June 2, of Miss Mary
Theresa Costello, eldest . daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Costello, Dub-
lin, to Mr. Kenneth William Wick-
ens, London, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frederic Wickens. Rev. George
O'Reilly, C.S.S.R., officiated at the
ceremony and the Nuptial Mass,
and the organist, Mrs. Rose Joy,
provided the wedding music. Given
in marriage by her father, the bride
wore a floor -length gown of white
embroidered marquisette over taf-
feta, designed with round lace
neckline, fitted bodice and pv.fq
sleeves. Her hand -made efnbrold-
ered net veil of illusion was caught
by a coronet of white orange blos-
soms, and she carried a nosegay
of red roses with bouvardia, white
streamer and lover's knots. • She
was attended by her sister, Miss
Dorothy Ann Costello, Dublin,
gowned in yellow lace over taffeta,
with shirred neckline, matching
headdress and lace mittens. She
carried a nosegay of pink and
white roses. The beat man was
Mr.. Kenneth Purdy, London, and
the ushers were Mr. Gordon Cos.
tello, Dublin, and Mr. Bernard Tay-
lor, London.
Following the ceremony, a din-
ner and reception were held- at the
Catholic Culture Centre, London,
where the bride's mother received
the guests, wearing a gown of •fig-
ured aqua erepe with black velvet
trim, white accessories and corsage
of pink roses. Later Mr. and Mrs.
Wickens left on a honeymoon trip
to Niagara Falls and Buffalo. The
bride chose for travel a navy blue
gabardine suit with .white accessor-
ies and corsage of pink and white
earnations. They will reside at 925
Dufferiii Ave., London.
