Fireside Fellowship Go To Lis-
towel.—Some twenty, members of
the Fireside Fellowship Group of
First Presbyterian Church motored
to Listowel on Tuesday evening to
visit Mr. and Mrs. K. M. Campbell.
Miss Alice Reid conducted the busi-
ness of the evening, when a tea
was discussed for a future date,
also a picnic at Kling's cottage in
July or August. Contests and
games were played. Misses Janet
Cluff and Alice Reid are still the
mystery performers of a stunt
done by them. Mr. and Mrs. Camp-
bell were presented with a gift by
Miss Alice Reid and Robert E. Mc-
Millan. Lunch concluded ,the eve-
ning.
Kneeshaw - Howes.—The Chapel
of Westminster Hospital, Landoll,
was •the setting for the marriage
recently of Maude Elizabeth,
daughter of Mr. John Howes, Mc-
Killop, and the late Mrs. Howes,
and Ernest Roy, son of Mrs. J. H.
Kneeshaw, Goderich, and the late
Rev. C. W. Kneeshaw. The chapel
was artistically arranged with
Palms and standards of spring
W. M. S. Holds Meeting.—The
regular meeting of the Women's
Missionary Society of First Pres-
byterian Church was held Tuesday
afternoon, May 23. Mrs. D. Glenn
Campbell presided and opened the
meeting with prayer, followed by
the singing of the hymn, "We Have
Heard a Joyful Sound.” There
were twenty-one members present.
Nineteen calls were made on shut-
ins during the month. It was mov-
ed and seconded by Mrs. John
Beattie and Mrs. Harry Stewart,
that we accept the invitation to
join Northside W.M.S. at their
meeting on June 26. Mrs. William
Drover presided for the devotional
period. Following the hymn, "'Tis
the Blessed Hour of Prayer," 'Mrs.
D. Glenn Campbell led in prayer;
Mrs. Wm. Drover read the Scrip-
ture lesson, and' Mrs. Rob!. Smith
read a poem 011 "Homes." Miss
Alice Nixon sang a solo, "Bless-
ings Unto Us All," accompanied
by Mrs. M. R. Rennie. Mrs. Drover
gave an interesting talk on mis-
sionary work in connection with
New Canadians. Mrs. James Hill
gave a fine address on "Christian
Service." After singing the hymn,
"O Master, Let Me Walk With
Thee," Mrs. Drover closed the
meeting with prayer.

Death of Mrs. Hugh Mackay.—
One of Seaforth's oldest and high-
ly respected residents in the per-
son of Eliza Jane Henry, beloved
wife of the late Hugh Mackay, ,pass-
ed away after a week's illness on
Sunday afternoon, May 27, in her
eighty-eighth year. Born in Hibbelrt
Township, the late Mrs. Mackay
spent her entire life in tlie vicinity
of Seaforth. She was predeceased
by her husband in 1931, and one
daughter, Belle, in 1919. She is
survived by one sister, Miss Mar-
garet , Henry, Seaforth ; three
daughters and one son, Mrs. John
E. Daley (Edith), Mrs. Harvey
Mason (Agnes), of Seaforth, Ethel.
and Ronald, of Toronto; also three
grandchildren, Marion and Ronald
Mason, Sea£orth; 'Mrs. G. L. Earle,
of Lakeside, Quebec, and one
great-grandson, John Earle. Mrs.
Mackay was known to many in the
community for, her kindness and
