Hensall Girl Guides and Brown-
ies will attend divine service at
the United Church Sunday morn-
ing, May 20, at 11 a.m., and will be
addressed by Rev. A. E. Hinton,
guest minister. The Guides and
Brownies will parade to the churcj
accompanied by Capt. Mrs, J. Far-
quhar, and Brown Owl Mrs. Wm.
Taylor.
The Hensall Girl Guides at their
recent paper drive in .the village,
realized $55. These paper drives
will be held
monthly,
the
first Sat-
urday
of every month. The Guides
will attend a guide camp at Kee-
wadin, south of Kincardine, Satur-
day, June 2, at 2:30 for a get -to -
nether. Contests will be held for
divisional shields. Games and rac-
es will be featured, with a camp
fire at night.
Since the monthly meeting of
the Hensall Woolen's Institute on
May 9, Mrs. Edna Jones has kindly
offered to act. its group leader for
the Blue Cross Plan.
Mrs. Milton Love, who has been
a patient at Clinton Hospital with
a heart condition, returned home
last week -end and is getting set-
tled in her apartment in the Fink
Building. Mrs. Love is slowly gain-
ing in strength and health.
Group 4 of the Ladies' .Aid of
Carmel Presbyterian Church held
a successful home-made cake sale
in the Legion Hall Saturday last.
The proceeds were very gratifying.
In charge of the sale were Mrs. A.
Kerslake, Mrs. J. E. McEwan, Mrs.
Harold Bonihron and Mrs. P. A.
Ferguson.
