was well received by the large at-
ttaitaute of music lovers, who fill-
etl large church. Mr. Earle
Terry announced each number. For
the sacred numbers, the girls wore
choir gowns; for the rest of the
prograni they changed to evening
gowns. Over $125 was the door
receipts. This was sponsored by
the choir of the church, of which
S. G. Rannie is director, and Miss
Greta Lananie, organist, Members

To Hold Shooting Match
The annual Good Frida. -shoot-
ing match will be held at Kippen
Good Friday, March 23, at 12:30,
sponsored by the Kippen Gun
Club. It is expected that teams
from Ridgetown, Duart, Goderich,
Crumlin and two from Kippen will
compete. This shoot is open to all
teams in Western Ontario. High-
lights of the shoot will be the tro-
phy donated by the Blue Top Brew-
ing Co., of Kitchener, for the best
five -man team with the highest
score out of 125, and a merchan-
dise shoot, prizes donated by the
merchants of Kippen and Hensall,
with prizes ranging from $2.50 to
$ 5.00.

To Be At Blyth
Th is year the annual Huron
County Blach-and-White Show will
be held in conjunction with Blyth
Fall Fair, en Sept. 19, as decided
a.t a meeting of the officers and
tirectors of the Huron County Hol-
stein Club in the agricultural of-
fice. Clinton.
Howard Trewartha, president,
presided at the meeting, and W.
Hume Clutton is secretary -treasur-
er. The meeting decided to spon-
sor the Holstein Calf Club again
this year.
Plans were made for a tour the
first week in June of the Holstein
Breeders, and of the annual twi-
light meeting, to be held at Jar-
rott Bros. farm, Kippen, on June
28.
Final arrangements were made
for a spring meeting in Clinton in
the agricultural office board rooms
on April 5.

Church will hold their Easter
thankoffering meeting in the school
room of the church on Wednesday,
March 28, at 2 p.m., when Mr. Liv-
ingstone, will give the Easter mes-
sage. Circle 1 will be in charge
of the program and Circle 4 of the
lunch. Ladies are reminded to
bring used clothing' for the bale,
which will be packed at this meet-
ing.

business period was held. The roll
call was taken and the minutes
read and adopted. There were 17
members present and four visitors.
It was decided to send $10 to the
Crippled Children's Fund, $l0 to
the'Red Cross and $10 to the On-
tario Cancer Fund. Final plans
were made for the euchre and
dance to be held in the Town Hall,
Hensall, on April 4. The standing
committees are asked to have their
reports ready for the April meet-
ing.
There were twenty tables for the
euchre at the euchre and dance
sponsored by the Kippen East W.I.
on Friday, March 16, in the Tien-
sall Town Hall. Whiners.were: Lad-
ies, first, Mrs).- RT-Broitlfooty--see-
ond, Miss Winnie Gray; consola-
tion, Mrs. George 'Pinney; lone
hands, Mrs. R. Chapman; gents,

Mrs. •McClymont celebrated her
birthday on Friday, March 16, at
her home. Her daughters, Mrs.
Alice Cook and Mrs. Schilbe, also
Mrs, A. Grant and Mr. and Mrs,
Allan Copeland, all of London,
spent the evening with her, and her
many friends wish her many more
years.
