BAND LEADER Tony Pastor, well known orchestra leader from the Unit- ed States, who will play at the Roundel terrace, R.C.A.F, Sta- tion, 'Clinton, -next Monday eve• this period. Newcombe led his team as he tried hard to fool Wood, - cock. Near the end of the drat he pulled a fast trick as he passed the puck behind him to MacDonald as the defencemen were trying to check him. ' MacDonald shot at the net, only to find that Woodcock had outsmarted him and was hold- ing onto the puck. Seaforth sproused, up in the next as they counted five times, holding Goderich scoreless. Goderich start- ed off well in the final, but their pace soon slackened down as the locals went out in front. New- combe fought off the local defence as he headed for the blue line and in on Woodcock from the face-off at centre, to tally the first goal at 10 seconds. • GODERICH — Seihoenalds, goal ; -hero, Chisholm, defence; New- combe, centre; Faulkner, West- brooke, wings; Miller, MacDonald, Allan.
