Loney - Broome. -A pretty wed-
ding took place Saturday, August
5, at 2 p.m. in Northside United
Church Parsonage, when Lois
Elaine Broome, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Broome, of Sea -
forth, became the bride of Cecil
Elmer Loney, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Benjamin Loney of Saskatchewan.
Rev. D. A. MacMillan performed
the ceremony. Following a wed-
ding trip Mr. and Mrs. Loney will
reside in Vancouver.
Pratt - Anderson. -At St. Peter's
Church. Bathurst Street, Toronto,
Father Stone united in marriage
Hazel Agnes, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. Anderson, McKillop, to
Melvin Fenton, only son of Mrs.
Mabel Pratt and the late Mr. Pratt,
of Barrie. The bride wore a wine
gabardine suit with black accessor-
ies. The couple were attended by
Me. and Mrs. Alex McSorley, of
Toronto. They left for Montreal
'and points east, and on their re-
turn they will reside in Toronto.
MoCiinohey - Way. A quiet wed-
ding was solemnized Saturday
morning, August 5, at 11 a.m., at
Holmesville Manse with Rev. New-
ton officiating, when Mary Pearl
Way, only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. AIbert Pepper, Seaforth, was
united in marriage to -Henry Carl
McClinchey, son of Mr. and Mrs.
William McClinchey, Holmesville.
The bride wore a romance blue
sheer dress with grey accessories
and corsage of pink roses and lily
of the valley. They were attend-
ed by Mr. and Mrs, Albert Mc-
Clinchey, Carlow. The happy cou-
ple left for a trip to the northern
parts of Ontario.
Sister Dies in Alberta. -Mr. Her-
bert Coombs, of Egmondville, re-
ceived word Thursday of the death
of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Miller,
in Olds, Alberta. Deceased was
the former Jennie Coombs, and
was. born in McKillop, near Win-
throp, 59 years ago. She went to
Western Canada at an early age
and had resided there ever since.
Left to mourn her loss are her
husband, two sons, Cecil and Ray-
mond, and three grandchildren, In-
terment took place in Olds ceme-
tery.
Former Seaforth Lawyer Pass-
es. -Loftus E. Dancey, K.C., oldest
practicing lawyer in Canada, died
suddenly at his home in 'Goderich
on August 10. After attending
schools in Goderich, he graduated
in 1882 from Osgoode Hall, Tor-
onto, at the age of 22. He first
practiced law in Seaforth, but a
few years later returned to Gode-
rich, where he has since been lo-
cated. Married twice, he is sur-
vived by his second wife, the for-
mer Vera Wiggins, and a son and
daughter by the first marriage.
The funeral took place Saturday
at his residence. Interment was in
Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.
Death of William S. Hogg. -Fol-
lowing an illness of only three
days, William S. Hogg, well known
and highly respected McKillop
resident, passed away on Friday at
his home, Lot 19, Con. 4. Mr. Hogg
was born in McKillop and lived
there all his life. He was married
to Annie Chambers at Duff's
Church Manse 48 years ago, by
whom he is survived, together with
a family of two daughters and two
sons, Mrs. Paul Brand, Toronto;
Miss Janet Hogg and James, at
home, and Frank Hogg, of Wood-
stock; also one brother, George
Hogg, of McKillop. Deceased re-
ceived his education at No. 4, Mc-
Killop, and was an elder in First
Presbyterian Church, Seaforth,
where he attended regularly. The
funeral took place from his late
residence on Monday at 2 p.m.,
with Rev. D. Glenn Campbell of-
ficiating. taring the service Mr.
James T. Scott sang. Interment
was III Maitlandbank cemetery,
The pallbearers were H. Lawrence,
Wm. Kerr, John Gordon, C. D.
Dickson, W. J. Shannon and Stan-
ley Hall. Flower -bearers were
Gordon Papple, Robt. Watson, Mac
Scott, H. Enzens•berger, John Kerr
and David Shannon.
Death of Mrs. James Neville. --
There passed away suddenly at
the home of her son-in-law, Mr. J.
M. McMillan, on Wednesday, Aug.
9, Margaret Downey, widow of the
late James Neville, in her 81st
year. Mrs. Neville was the daugh-
ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steph-
en Downey, of St. Columban, and
was born there, where she at-
tended school and later Seaforth
Collegiate Institute. She was mar-
ried in 18.99 to Mr. Neville, who
predeceased her 13 years ago. A
year ago Mrs. Neville came from
Sarnia to live with her daughter
in Seaforth, where she had resid-
ed since. Surviving are three
daughters: Mrs. C. G. La Pier,
Corunna; Mrs. R. Y. Mulvale, Sar-
nia, and Mrs. J. M. McMillan, Sea -
forth, and two eons, D. J. Neville
Little, Peru, and Stephen Neville,
of Sarnia; also by one sister, Mrs.
William Devereaux, London, and a
brother, J. L. Downey, Windsor.
There are 20 grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren. Mrs.
Neville was a member of the Rona -
at Catholic Church and the C.W.L.
and was always interested in the
welfare of the church. Funeral
services were held on Saturday,

daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Storey, of McKillop, in her
71st year. Born in McKillop, she
spent her entire life in that dis-
trict, attending S.S. No, 2 School.
Those left to mourn her loss are
two brothers, Samuel and William
Storey, of McKillop, and a sister,
Mrs. J,1 McNichol, with whom she
was visiting at the time of her
death. Miss Storey was' a member
of First Presbyterian Church, Sea -
forth. Funeral services were held
from the home of her brother,
Samuel Storey, Lot 3'0. Con. 5, Mc-
Killop, on Saturday, at 2 p.m., with
Rev. D. A. MacMillan officiating.
The pallbearers were Arthur An-
derson, T. W. McMillane,5Frank
Hunt, Stewart Dolm,age, 'Harry
Palin, and John Little. The dower -
bearers were Aubrey McNichol,
Walter MCC!re, Wm. Storey, Ev-
