Mrs. Merritt Hogg 'played the wed- ding mue4c and Mrs. Harald: Uren, Ingereold, sang. Entering the church with her father, the bride was lovely in a gown of white sat- in, wih lace yoke crowning the fitted bodice, long pointed sleevee and full skirt accented with lace - trimmed • peplum. A corenet of seed pearls held her three-quarter veil of illusion and she carried a cascade of pink roses. Attending the bride as maid of honor, her sister, Mise Helen Young, wore pink taffeta accented with lace, and Miss Velma Ferguson, sister of the groom, and Miss Runie Young, sister of the 'bride, were bridesmaids, identically dressed in sky blue taffeta. Attendants all wore floral headdresses to match their gowns and carried 'cascade bouquets of pink and blue summer flowers. Russell Ferguson, brother of the groom, was best man, and Lloyd Ferguson, brother of the groom and Donald Young, brother of the bride, ushered. The recep- tion was held at the home of the bride's parents. For the wedding trip to Northern Ontario, the bride donned a pastel dress of flowered nylon with white acces- sories and carried a travelling coat of navy gabardine. Moir - ,McMillan A very quiet wedding was sol- emnized Saturday afternoon, July 22, at Kemble Presbyterian Manse, with Rev. Homes officiating, when Dorothy Helen McMillan was unit- ed in marriage to Ronald George Moir, both of Hensall. The ' bride looked charming wearing a navy blue suit with white accessories and corsage of pink and white ros- es. Attending the bride was her sister. Marie, wearing a navy blue suit and white accessories. Elmer Woods, uncle of the bride, was best )man. The reception was held at the .home of the bride's grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Woods. -A table decorated with pink and white streamers, roses and lilies, over which hung a whitebell, was centred by a three-storey wedding cake. Following the reception the couple left for Sauble Beach, where they will spend their hon- eymoon. On their return they will reside in Hensall. Miss Ruby Fisher returned to Kitchener on Sunday after spend- ing the past two weeks with her aunt, Mrs. F. A. Edwards. Mrs. Clayton Guest and Miss Morah Guest returned to Guelph on Sunday after spending the past week the guests 'of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Toms. W. Leonhardt, of Mitchell, received the appointment of chief of police and public utility man for the vil- lage ata salary of $125 a month, duties to commence the first of August. There were eight applica- tions, seven out-of-town. Mr. Leon- hardt has held a similar position in Mitchell for the past four years.
