Chessell - Racho.—In a ceremony
performed by Rev. A. W. Gardiner,
a quiet but pretty wedding took
place on Saturday at the Manse in
Egmondville, when Joyce Mary,
second elder daughter of Mr. and
'Mrs. James _Racho, Egmondville,
was united in marriage to George
Robert Chessell, youngest son of
Mr, and Mrs. Roy Chessell, Mit-
chell, The bride looked lovely in
a gown of white silver satin, hav-
ing a yoke of nylon marquisette,
outlined by ruffling, and long lily -
point sleeves. A full-length veil of
silk illusion was held in place by
a halo bridal crown. She carried
a bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Ken-
neth Chessell, Mitchell, was brides-
maid, wearing a mauve moire
gown, white mittens and white
beaded coronet. She carried a bou-
quet of yellow roses. The groom
was attended by his brother, Ken-
neth Chessell, Mitchell. After the
ceremony a reception was held for
the immediate families at the home
of the bride's parents; Mr. and Mrs,

Chessell left on a short honey-
moon to Brantford and etliSi'
points, the bride travelling in a
navy gabardine suit with navy and
white accessories, and wore a cor-
sage of red carnations. Mr. and
Mrs. Chessell will reside in Mit-
chell.

Funeral of the Late Mrs. W. J.
Sillery.—The funeral of the late
Mrs. W. J. Sillery, of Egmondville,
was held on Friday, May 19, at 2
p.m., from` the home of her daug--
ter, Mrs, R. Kruse, and was largely
attended. The pallbearers were A.
C. Routledge, Chas. MacKay, Robt,
J. Elgie, Fred Adams, Roy Mc -
Mane and Ivy Henderson. Flower -
bearers were W. A. Wright, Mer-
vin Nott and John Quail. 'Rev. A.
W Gardiner officiated at the '.louse
and graveside. Friends' were:' e -
sent from London, Londesbti ";ri d
Stratford. Interment was in Mait•
landbank cemetery.
Former Minister Dies in Kitch-
ener.—The death took place on Sat-
urday at Kitchener of Rev. H. D.
Moyer, who was 87 years of age.
Born in ,Campden, Rev. Moyer was
first an Evangelical and Iater a
Methodist minister for 40 years,
transferring to the Methodist
Church in 1891, He served in Sea -
forth as minister for a number, of
years and also at • Bismark, Wal-
ters ails, Thamesford, Belmont,
Delaware, Kingsville, St. Thomas,
Petrolia, London and Goderich.
When he retired he went to Pres-
ton and later to Kitchener. Surviv-
ing are his wife, the former Cath-
erine Duncan; three daughters,
Mrs. 3. E. Hagmeier, Kitchener:
Mrs. L. G. Hagmeier, Thedford and
Mrs, J. B. McClinton, Timmins,
and one son, Harvey T. Moyer, of
Oshawa.
Death of Mrs. Atex Kerr.—One
of McKillop's earliest pioneer set-
tlers passed away last Friday eve-
ning in Detroit, in the person of
Amelia Jabe Morrison, widow of
the late Alex Kerr. Born in McKil-
lop 77 years ago, she was married
in 1895 to 1%Ir. Kerr, who predeceas-
ed her in 1921. Deceased attended
public school in McKiIlop and at,
ter her marriage they engaged in
farming until her husband's death,
when ,she went to Detroit where
She conducted 'a rooming house.
She was a member :of the Presby-
terian Church. Surviving is a half
brother living in Vancouver; B.C.
The funeral was held from the G.
A. Whitney funeral phapel on Mon-
day, with Rev. D. Glenn Campbell
officiating, The pallbearers wore
Frank Morrison, Archie Kerr, M.
Morrison, Edmund Godkin, Eldon
Kerr and Graham Kerr. Interment
was in Maitlandbank cemetery.
Death of Mrs. Henry Taylor.—
The death took place of Elizabeth
Leitch, widow of the late Henry
Taylor, at her home on Side St., on
Thursday morning. Mrs. Taylor
was in her 91st year and. had lived
in Seaforth for the past 20 years,
where she was highly esteemed.
She was born in Hullett and lived
on a farm before coming to Sea -
forth'. IVtr. Taylor passed away in
1i11'. Surviving are live daugh-

March, 1949. The deceased was a
member of Burns' 'United Church,
Hullett. The funeral will be held
Saturday at 2 p.m. from her late
residence with Rev. D.. 0. Campbell
officiating. Interment will be in
Maitlandbank cemetery,
Former Egmondville' Minister
Passes.—Rev, William Douglas Mc-
Donald, B:A., beloved husband of
the former Jean Lang, died Mon-
day at Toronto. Mr. *Donald was
a former minister of Atwood Pres-
byterian Church. He was called
and inducted into the Atwood
charge in August, 1915, and con-
cluded his ministry there in 1922.

the late N(r. and Mrs. Wm. MaDon-
aid. His Metter was til,@ former
Oatharind -,Campbell, of Kilroys,
and his father, the late Wm. Mc-
Donald; was the oldest postmaster
in Bruce County, where he served
for 35 years at Riversdale. Surviv-
ing beaidep his widow are three
sons: Will#am, of St. Paul; Minn.;
Robert of `Toronto; John, of Ot-
tawa, and one daughter, Mrs. Don-
ald H. (Margery) Currie, of Kit-
chener. The body rested until Wed-,
nesd'ay night at the chapel of Mor-
ley S. Bedford, 159 Eglinton Ave.
West, at Lascelles Blvd., Toronto,
where a service was held at 8:0.0
o'clock. Interment was Thursday
at Greenock cemetery, Bruce Coun-
ty.
