p.m., when Rev. R. A. Brook sol-
emnized the marriage of Thelma
Jean Taylor and James Gordon
Munn. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard. Taylor, of
Kippen, and the groom is the son
of Mrs. Munn and the late Robert
Hensall. The bride
wan ltireetive in a, Midnight' blue:,
gahardine suit, navy hat and black
eecespories, and wearing a corsage
of red anises, Miss Mary Taylor,
nneCe of the bride, attended ' the

McLean and Mrs. Campbell Eyre.
Refreshments were served. The
dresser and bed lamps were a gilt
from the Hensel) Legion Auxiliary
of which Jean is a member.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clark, Sr.,
observed their 40th wedding anni-
versary at their home on Thursday
evening, Feb. 9. A family dinner,
at which turkey with all the trim-
mings was served, was the high-
light of the evening. Mr. and Mrs.
Clark were the recipients of a
lovely table lamp from the family.
Cards were enjoyed arid a social
time spent.„
A very euccessful home baking
sale and afternoon tea was held in
the 1.0O.F. Lodge Hall on Satur-
day afternoon, sponsored. by Amber
Rebekah Lodge, many lending their
patronage from the village and dis-
trict, as -well as Seaforth and God-
erich. The hall was lovely, decor-
ated with pink and green stream-
ers, the lodge colors, while the tea
tables centred vases of daffodt13.
Soft m-usic was played throughout
the afternoon. One of the high-
lights of the affair was tea cup
reading. After empenses were paid
$60 was realized from the sale.
Mrs, Catherine Devlin, well-
known Hensel' resident; while
cleaning off the ice on her walk in
front of her home Tuesday morn-
ing, had the misfortune to fall.•
X-rays -taken at Clinton hospital
Devlin will remain in the hospital
for a few days.
Mrs. Hannah Workman is a
patient in Clinton. hospital. suffer-
ing with pneumonia. Latest reports
ia that she is resting comfortably.
A successful new and old-time
derma was held in the Town Hall
Friday, sponsored by Amber Re-
bekeh and LO.O.F. Lodges. Music
was furnished by the Shamrock
orchestra. The ,highlight of the af-
fair were tap dancing wed acroba-
tic numbers by Misa Mary ElSon.
The door prize was won by Miss
Margaret Porter, oe Hillsgreen.
Hensel! Defeats 'Exeter
Hensall defeated Exeter in the
C,ommunIty Arena Monday night by
a score Of 3-2. The local team was
trailing by 2-1 at the end of the
first period; tied it at 2-2 in the
second period, and scored the win-
ning goal midway through the last
period. This was a typical rivalry
game between these two clubs with
plenty of hard-hitting and checking
which finally.developed into a tree -
for -all near the end'of the last per-
