Thursday, it is certain that there
will be a difference in the stand-
ing. If Seaforth wins till the games

Juniors in second 'place, and the

Last Tuesday night was the last
of four concerts sponsored, by the
Department of Education. It was
well attended considering that
there was a hockey g,ame that
night also. The cohcert featured,
four Canadian artists. This is the.
last concert, ;but perhaps next year
there will be snore.

However, years and injury have
left their mark and the "Old Man"
isn't' what he used to be. And this
brings us to the real reason of our
short story in Sport News.
Desvite the fact the New Mem-
oriel Arena hasn't been officially
opened, Archie had. that yearning
to play in just one more game—
and that in the new Seaforth and
District Memorial Arena—and that
isint all . . he wanted to play
that game against his old home
town team. His chance came on
Tuesday night and Archie was out
their big as ever and working just
as hard, We hope that Archie's
ambition was complete and a hap -
y one when it was realized Tues -
ay night, with the team winning
-0.
To Archie, a. grand sport, we

The two Legion teams divided
their wins on Friday night as they
played two away games. At Ripley
the Juveniles downed Ripley 7-4 in
it hard-fought tattle against, Luck -
now.
Broome was Seafordes star in
this game, collecting four of Sea
forth's tallies.
In the Intermediate game the
team fromTavistock: proved too
fast for the loear Legion team and
downed them to the tune of 6-3.
The Juniors made their first spot
berth definite on Saturday when
they trounced the Milverton Lions
12-2.
The game was never in doubt
from the opening whistle, with the
locals taking the lead at 4:25 with
Norm Heighington doing the scor-
ing. Toman came back with the
only Milvertou goals at 8:55 and
14:37 of the second .stanza.
During the second period, which
roved to be the roug-hest and fast.

rich were out for blood • in this
Thursday tilt as they had previous-
ly defeated last year's W.O.A.A.

amongst themselves in this fa.st
and furious game.
Although Goderich proved to • be
strong opposition, Seaforth set the
pace early in the first period with
the homesters bringing in four
goals, while the Lions came
through with two counters.
Flood did the only Seaforth scor-
ing in the second stanza at 12:12.
with Meriarn tallying for the lake -
shore boys.
The final period showed Seaforth
counting up tour- goals with the
visitors getting two goals past the
strong defence and the star goalie.
Twelve penalties were served
during the evening. Goderich chalk -
inn up nine of them. Merle:It •Serv-
ed a 10 -minute misconduct penalty.

with a well-deserved shut -out Tues-
day, when Seal'orth Legion doused
Tevistocn e-0 in a W.O.A.A. Inter-
mediate hockey game.
Seaforth scored the first goal in
the opening peritod at 4:12 and fol-
lowed with two more. There was
no score in the second stanza, but
111 the third Boussey came back
for Seaforth to ensure the win.
The strong Seafortli" defence was
sparked on by "Archie', Hubert,
who has .spent many years in
hocky, but has been out of action

Seaforth Legion Juveniles took
their first hockey defeat. of the sea-
son when Goderich Lions came out
on the top end of a 241 score. It
was Goalie Wisser's first shut -oat
of the season. The goal -getters for
oderich were Erskine and Meti-
am.
The game was slightly slower
than most games becse of the
soft fee. Boath goalers, Balter and
VVisser, starred, but Goderich out-
s,hot Seaforth by A. good margin.
