VARNA Mrs, John Rathwell is visiting relatives in London. Mr. John Anderson, of Kippeg, one of Kippers 'Gun Club's most en- thusiastic members, in, keen compe- tition won the handsome .trophy which is put .up by the Kippers Gun Club for ;a ,n#nual competition at their Labor Day shooting match, which is to be held each year. Some forty crack shots took ad- vantage dvantage of tjie ideal weather on Monday afternoon and entered the rape for the trophy, which Mr. An- derson is now displaying in his home, and which will, no doubt, be keenly fought for next Labor Day in Kippen. Miss McKay, of Owen Sound, is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Armstrong.. Mr. and Mrs. A. Hinton_ return- ed after a three weeks' visit with friends in Danville, Que. Mr. and Mrs, Clayton Bossen- berry, of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bosseniberry, of Kitchener, were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. McClymont. Mr. Ivan Wren and Ken Damm were on a motor trip to Montreal and parts in the U.S.A. over the Labor Day holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Smith and daughter, of London, called on Mrs. McClymont on Monday last. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Sanderson were in Toronto over the week -end holidays. Mrs. Emmerson Kyle, who un- derwent an operation in Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth, was able to return to her home on Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jackson and family, who were visiting friends in Toronto, returned to their home Miss Marilyn Steckle spent the week -end with her aunt, Mrs. Wm. Hart. Mrs. C. Stelck is visiting friends in Hensall, Miss Mary E. Beatty spent a rew days last week at the Toronto Exhibition. Mr, and Mrs, Stewart Beatty, of Winghard, whe have been camping at Bayfield, called on Mrs, M. Reid. last week. Mr. A. Murray spent a day at the Toronto Ex. last week. Owing to unavoidable circum- stances Holy Communion will not be celebrated in St. John's Angli- can Church as had been previously announced. VACUUM PACK here on Monday evening. Mr. Frank Flick, who has been engaged at Jarrott Bros' farms, left •on Tuesday morning with Mr. Robert Cooper for the West. They are making the trip by motor. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Taylor and family, of Stratford, spent over the week -end with Mrs. Dinsdale and. Miss Whiteman. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson, of Millbank, spent part of last week with friends in and around Kip - pen. Mr. and Mrs. Eldrid Moffat spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. A. Moffat. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Butt were in Springbank on Sunday, visiting friends there. Miss Norma Dietz, Mrs. Wm. Dietz and .Mrs, Thos. Munroe re- turned to their home here after spending the summer months at Fox Point, New Ontario. Mrs. Cliff Watson, Maxine and Betty Lou called on Kippen friends on Sunday last. Mr. and. Mrs. Stewart Beattie and family, of Wingham, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Robert McBride. • Mrs. 'Elzar Mousseau, who was confined, to St. Joseph's Hospital, London, was able to return to her home in Kippen on Sunday after- noon. Mrs. Alice Cook, of London, spent Sunday and Monday with her mother, Mrs. McClymont.
