Death of Mrs. John Haist
The .death took place on Satur-
day, April 16, at her home west of
Winthrop, of Eliza Maria (Maud)
Barrows, widow of the late John
Haist, in her 72nd year. Mrs. Haist
had been ill for some ,;time, but
suffered an attack of the flu from
which she, did not recover. She
was born on the 12th concession
of McKillop, east of Leadbury, and
was married at her home on July
6, 1898, to John Hoist, of Brussels.
They came to Winthrop 40 years
ago and had been citizens of the
