Stotesbury, Rayfield, uniteddn mar.
riage Jane Dikken, of Goderich,
and George 'Edwin Case, son of
Mrs. Case and the late Edwin C.
Case, of Seaforth. The bridal ecu-
ple were attended by 'MT. and Mrs.
Frank Lamont, of Seaforth. Mr.
and Mrs. Case will reside in Sarnia.
Death of John Elligsen. .— The
death took place at ,his home in
Mitchell on Friday, March 26, of
John Elligsen, following a stroke
which he suffered earlier in the.
week, Mr. Elligsen had been a
hotelkeeper in earlier life and had
served the public at Monkton, Lis-
towel, Hensall, Dashwood and Mit-
chell. He came to Seaforth from
Mitchell five years ago. In his 74th
year he was born at Brodhagen,
and was married 49 years ago to
Minnie v.as•sman, who survives
him, together with three sisters and
three •brothers. The funeral was
held on Monday from the Lutheran
Church, Mitchell, with interment in
the Presbyterian cemetery. The
pallbearers were six nephews of
the deceased.

The funeral of the late Roy Neil
Brown, whose death occurred ` in
Scott Memorial Hospital on March
23, took 'place on Saturday after-
noon from his late residence, with
Rev, W. H. Woo'Ifrey, Clinton, con -
dusting the service. The pallbear-
ers were Newman Garrett, Wm.
Pepper; Jack Turner, Howard
Johns, Edwin Johns and Ernest
Crich. Flowerbearers were Bert
Garrett, Jack Patrick, Robt. Pat-
rick and .Geo. Turner. Interment
was in Staffa cemetery.

Big Four Farm Forum met in the
school for their closing !meeting.
The questionnaire was filled in and
court whist was, played, winners
being Margaret Miller,' Alf Ross,
Sr., Mrs. Lyons and Gordon Miller.
Lunch was followed by dancing.
Staffa Farm Forum enjoyed a
pot -luck supper in Staffer Hall at
their closing meeting, About 35 at-
tended. Plans for the summer were
discussed, one event being a. bus
trip, which this forum enjoys each
year. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Hodge,
Crediton, former members , of the
forum, were welcome visitors dur-
ing the evening.
Mr. and' Mrs. Filmore Chappel
entertained the Cromarty Farm
Forum in their home with about
30 in attendance. After the ques-
tionnaire had been filled in, cards
were played, with Mr. and Mrs. N.
Ferguson being, lite winners. Mrs.
Wes. Russell wag the lucky chair
winner.

The death took place in Clinton
Hospital on Monday, March 28, of
a well known 'resident of Morris
Twp., in the person of Martha
Spencer, widow of the late James
Regan, in her 89th year. She had
only been ill about 24 hours, suf-
fering a stroke the day before.
Born in Hay Twp., she was mar-
ried in 1878 to Mr. Regan, vrho
passed away some years ago. Mr.
and • Mrs. Regan came to Morris
Twp. about 25 years ago, and ,she
was a member of Walton United
Church. She is survived by one
son, Lester Regan, of Morris, and
two daughters, Miss Rose Regan,
of London, and Mrs. Emma Rap-
son,, Londesboro. One son, Harry,
predeceased her 10 years ago. She
is also survived by one sister,
Miss Rachel Spencer, .of Morris,
and a brother, J. D. Spencer, of
Edmonton. The funeral was held
Wednesday afternoon from the G.
A. Whitney Funeral Chapel, Sea -
forth, with Rev. R. G. Hazlewood,
Walton, officiating. The pallbear-
ers were Geo, Smith, Robt. Smith,
Peter Taylor, John Taylor, James
Neilans and Ted Reid. Interment
was in Maittandbank cemetery.
