ie, on Wednesday, Dec. 29. of An-
['drew James Carter, in leis, 89th
year. He was born in. Tuckersmith
and v. -as married to Margaret Scott
Campbell, who pred.eceased him in
1924. He is •survived. by one daugn_
ter, Mrs. Violet Gilles.pie; one eon,
William Jolla Carter, of Kent-
bridge, Ont.. and four grandehia
dren Mr ,Carter was a farmer all
his lite . but came to Seaforth 13
years ago to live with his daugh-
ter. He was a, Presbyterian in re-
