Correction of eg
MaintainingAhe correct Inflation Pressure is One
of the Most Important Elements of Tire Care .
The inflation pressure recommended' for any model ear is
carefully worked out as the best pressure to give an efficient
balance of the following factors of good car performance: Com,
fortable Ride; :Stability; Steering Ease; Even Tread Wear, and
Immunity{ from Blowouts.
Tires should be checked once a week; this will result in add•
ed'dre life as two pound's pressure loss may be expected in a
week of ordinary driving. Cars operated at high speeds should
have tires checked at more frequent intervals.
Irregular tire wear is due to some action which causes cer-
tain places on a tire to wear more rapidly than others; the rem-
edy) naturally is to correct the condition causin'F the wear, It
is wise to interchange the tires to "bqu'alize the future normal
wear which will occur.
Wheels should be changed without dismounting tires, from
corner to corner, bringing the spare to right rear, and right front
to spare.
NEXT WEEK we ahail discus's Uneven Tire Wear, Due to
Misalignment of Front Wheels.
