ing the first of the season's month-
ly euchres and dances on Friday,
Oct. 22. The members are asked to
remember that lunch cloths must
•be at the hall for Friday night. If
any member has not made two of
these, bring two or more others as
there is ashortage. Card tables
are also required and are to be
brought to the hall by Friday af-
ternoon, and a deck or two of
cards in case they are needed.

Dies Suddenly in Montreal—Roy
Everett, 59, well-known London
commercial traveller, and former
•Seaforth resident, died suddenly
Friday night in Montreal, 'minutes
after he concluded a speech to a
branch of the United 'Commercial
Travellers in that city. Just as his
address was finished he was seiz-
ed with a eevere pain, and died in
hospital an hour later. A native of
•Seaforth, he had been a resident
of London for many years. Besides
his widow, a sister, Miss Kathleen,
of London, and a brother, Ed, in
Regina, survive.

Flannery - Wunder.—Masses of
large white chrysanthemums and
lighted tapers formed a background
in St. Louis R.C. Church, Water -
too, for the wedding of Miss Edua
Mary Wunder and Mr. Cyril Bene-
dict Flannery. The bride is the
youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles M. Wunder, 55 Willow St.,
Waterloo, and the bridegroom, who
resides on the Northwestern High-
way, Birmingham, Mich., is a son
of Mrs. John Flannery, of Guelph.
Rev. A. M. Reitzel officiated. Org-
anist Raymond Massel played tra-
ditional wedding music by Wagner
and Mendelssohn. At the signing
of the register, the bride's brother,
Mr. Carl Wunder, sang Schubert's
"Ave Maria." Escorted by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
Iustrous white velvet detailed with
eighteenth century charm. The tiny
basque bodice was designed with
sheer yoke, outlined with a draped ,
bertha caught by clusters of seed
pearls and white sequins. The long
sleeves extended in points over her
hands. The full sculptured skirt
fell in soft folds, accented with the
same dainty clusters of pearls, and
swept into a court train. A head-
dress of white velvet and ostrich
tips held in place her filmy veil of
hand -embroidered lace. She 'car-
ried a Bible topped by a white .orch-
id with satin streamers and steph-
anotis. Matron of honor for her

Former Resident Dies.—James K.
Richardson, secretary -treasurer of
the ' J. D. Moore Company Cold
Storage, St, Marys, died at his resi-
dence, Wellington St. North, on
Friday, in his 89th year He had
enjoyed fair health but sustained
a fall recently. Born in Scotland,
he was the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Richardson. He came
to Canada 66 years ago and had
been a resident of St. Marys for
the past 44 years. Prior to this he
operated a shoe store in Seaforth,
occupying premises at the corner
of Main and John. Streets. His
wife, the former Euphemia Rich-
ardson. predeceased him in 1908.
He was a member of First Presby-
terian Church, St. Marys. Surviv-
ing is one daughter, Miss Kate
Richardson, St. Marys. A son, .Tim,
was killed in the First Great War.

Bailey - Richard.—A lovely aut-
umn wedding took place in James
Street United Church, Exeter, on
Saturday, Oct. 9, at high noon be-
fore an altar banked with ferns,
lighted candlebra and baskets of
white chrysanthemums. The guest
pews were marked with colonial
nosegays tied with white bows and
streamers. Rev. H. J, Snell per-
formed a double ring ceremony
uniting in marriage Marjorie Cor-
sina, second daughter of Mr• and
Mrs. Leslie Richard, Exeter, and
Lou Turner Bailey, only son of Mr,
and Mrs. Ralph Bailey, Exeter, for-
merly of LendOli, Traditional wed-
ding music wa.s played by the
bride's aunt, Mrs. W. E. Gardiner,
of Meaford, and the groom's uncle,
Mr. E. A. Collings, of London, as
soloist sang "The Lord's Prayer"
and ".I Love You Truly." A white
carpet was laid for the bride who
entered the church on the arm of
her father. The bride was lovely
in a white slipper satin gown with
bouffant skirt, bateau neck, long
lily point sleeves and a tunic effect
flowing into a graceful train. Her
full length veil was held in place
by a dainty lace halo caught at
the sides with orange blossoms.
She wore a single strand of pearls
and a gold bracelet worn by her
grandmother, Mrs. Parsons, on her
wedding day, and she carried a
sweetheart cascade of Better
Times roses and gardenias. Miss
Alma Richard was her sister's
maid of honor, wearing an identi-
cal gown of acqua anti taffeta and
carrying an arm bouquet of bronze

With gold satin. Miss Maida Rich-
ard and Mies •Sheila Bailey, as
bridesmaids, were gowned in lav-
ender and American Beauty silk
taffeta, styled with basque bodices
and full flared skirts. Scallnee

in snatching shades and they car-
ried ecoloniel fans of rags and:
mums in contrasting shades of yel-
