He, was .admitted to the hospital in the morning with a very high tempera- ture, and passed away at 4.30 p.m. He is survived by his parents and a baby brother. The funeral was held from his late home, McKillop, on Wednes- day. Rev. H. V. Workman officiated, and Lieut. Melville, of the Salvation Army, sang a solo. The pallbearers were Francis Ruston, Clarence Rus- ton, Charles Ruston and Allen Green. Interment was in Maitlandbank ceme- tery. Died in St. Thomas --Mrs. George M. Baldwin died in St. Thomas Satur- day. She was in her 75th year. Born in Zurich, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Steinbach. She had been a resident of St. Thomas since 1900 when• she went with her husband from Seaforth. A talented musician, Mrs. Baldwin was a graduate of the Toronto Congerva- tory of Music. She taught music at Toronto and later at Hensall, where she was organist in the Methodist Church for a number of years. Mrs. Baldwin was active in women's organ- izations of First United Church, St. Thomas, and.. in the` 25th Regiment Chapter of the Imperial Order Daugh- ters of the Empire. Northside Church Missionary meeting for July met in the church. The meet- ing opened' with the •first verse of Hrnn 20, followed with prayer by the president, Mrs. Lawson. and a read- ing also by Mrs. Lawson. Minutes of last meeting were read by the secre- tary, Mrs. Porteous.. The .treasurer's report was given by Miss Annie Fer- guson. The report on Christian Stew- ardship and reading of the study book, "The Church's Claim on You," was given by Mrs. Finlayson, followed by a reading, "The Watch Tower," by Mrs. Hay. The worship part of the meeting was taken by Mrs. Mont- gomery, and the second verse of Hymn 20 was sung. Miss Tull, of To- ronto, was the guest speaker, and spoke on "The Shanty Men's Chris- tian Association," which was very in- teresting. Miss Tull is a secretary where this magazine is printed. Mrs. Hay took up the offering, and the meeting closed with Hymn 511 and prayer. Death of Mrs. R. G. Murdie.—Death claimed a beloved resident of Strat- ford, Mrs. Robert G. Murdie, at her home, 114 Avon Street, Friday night. Mrs. Murdie had been suffering from a serious heart condition since March, but had rallied, and death carne sud- denly. She was in her 7.6fh year. Mrs. Murdie, the former Nellie Scott Bul- lard, was born near Seaforth on March 20, 1873, a daughter of the late Wil- liam Bullard and Eleanor McGonigle Bullard. Following her marriage to Robert G, Murdie they made their home in Seaforth until going to Strat- ford in 1915. Mr. Murdie was an al- derman - there for several years. A member of St. Andrew -'s Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Murdie was active in the work of the Ladies' Aid of the church until ill health came. Surviv- ing besides her husband are three daughters: (Rae) Mrs. James Snaith and (Tillie) Mrs. George Robinson, Detroit„ and (Bessie) Mrs. Morris Chalmers, Toronto, and one son, E1 - don Murdie, at home. There is one sister, Mrs. Samuel Somers, Detroit. Three grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held from the Gin- gras Funeral Home, Stratford, with interment in Avondale Cemetery. Willis, of Drayton, Rev. H. V. Workman performed the cere- mony and Mrs. James A. Stewart played the wedding music and ac- companied Mr. James T. Scott when he sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "For You Alone." The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was charming in a white satin gown, floor length, with long veil and headdress, and wore a string of pearls, the gift of the groom. Her flowet'e were red rosebuds. She was attended by Miss Hazel Laing, of Kitchener, who wore a gown of pink satin with headdress and veil, and Miss• Doris Lawson, of London, who wore blue satin with headdress and veil,, both carrying colonial nosegays to matchtheir Owns. The flower girl was Shirley 1.i'iissler, of New Dunlee, who ware a dress of yellow with veil, and carried a nfrsegay of yellow flowers, The groon'is ran was (Harvey. +Smith., of i ,itddieiier, and the fishers were `Reg. ll.,dvl+een, 'of Constance, and Lloyd Willis,. of tKitchener.
