Death of James Morris, -,-The death
of James ,Morris, esteemed lesiden t
of Seaforth, occurred on stiiul'eday,'
Qct. 16, following an illness of three
weeks, He was in his 86th year and
was born in Hibbert Township. Ile
was •mq}rried to Miss Elizabeth Long
fifty-five years 'ago, and with hiS wife
lived in Hibbert until five years ago
when they retired to Seaforth. He is
survived by hiswife; three sons,
Joseph. Morris, of Detroit; James, of,
Hibbert, and Frank, at home, and
three daughters, Mrs. Ulmgnt Rees;
Detroit; Mrs. Emmett Malone, Hib-
bert, and Sister St. tuke of the Or-
der of St. Joseph, London. Deceased
'was a faithful member of St: James'
Catholic Church, Seaforth, and the
funeral was held from that church on
Monday morning, , with his nephew,
Rev. Father Elwyn Morris, and Rev.
Father Hussey of iciating. The pall-
bearers were James'and Alfred Rees,
Thomas and Louis Morris, P. J. •Dor-
sey and Angus Kennedy, Windsor, In-
terment was in St. Columban Celme-
tery.

have `returned from a trip to Califor-
nia, Oregon, and the Western .Prov-
inces. They spent -a most enjoyable
three months. visiting relatives and'
friends in the Western, States and
Canada.

Detroit, were here Saturday attending
the funeral of Mrs, Scott's mother,
the late Mrs, Abe Forsyth.
