engagement of their elder .daughter,
Ddna Franees, to Andrew Stanley
(Don) McKnight, of Kirkwall, the
marriag6 to take place in mid-August.
Former Resident Passes.—A former
reeadent of Seaforth, Robert J.
Fre.nch, died at the family residence,
547 Talbot St., London, on Saturday,
July 26. He was married to the late
Fanny Summers French, and lived
with his. daughter, Mrs. Helen Berry.
Mr, French was in his 84th year at
the time of his death. The funeral
was held Monday• with interment in
Mount Pleasaht -beitieteryn Lortdon.
Dale - Hunt.—The ceremony was
solemnized in Eginondville United
Church Manse on Saturday, July 26,
when Rev. A. W. Gardiner united in'
Marriage Marjorie "Claire, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Hunt, and
Lorne Rutherford Dale, son of Mr.
and 'Mrs. Alvin Dale. Their attend-
ants were Mr. acrd Mrs. •Charles, Case.
The bride chose for her wedding an
ice blue crepe afternoon frock with
white accessories and corsage of
pink rosebuds and baby breath. The
matron. of honor wore beige crepe
with corsage of' red rosebuds. A
buffet lu)acheon was served to the
immediate families at the homeof
the bride, after which Mr. and Mrs.
Dale left by motor for Muskoka,' the
bride travelling in a green wool twe-
piece suit with black trimming and
accessories.

NOTICE
The Board of Scott Memorial Hospital
wishes to advise the public that, effective
immediately, all patients admitted to the
Hospital from the Townships of McKillop,
Tuckersmith; Hullett, Hibbert and Grey,
which municipalities have not yet agreed to •
contribute, as requested, to the deficit of
'The Hospital in proportion to the extent to
which the Hospital is used by their resi-
dents, will be charged '$1.00 per day more
than the rates existing from, time- to time.
The Town of Seaforth and the Town-
ships of Logan and Staffley'.have already
agreed to contribute to the deficit.; and no
extra charge will therefore be made to the
residents of those municipalities. The
patient from any other municipality which
might still choose- to do likewise will be re-
funded any extra rates collected prior to
the Board being notified of the, decision to
that effect.
