Lime On Acid Soils
Owing to heavy ,preeipitation i i the
Eastern Townships, much of the soil
becomes acid through leaching. An
experiment conducted at. the Domin-
ion Experimental Station, Lennox -
vine, }',Q., for 18 years, has shown
that the use •of ground limestone on
acid soils not only pays but it is' es-
sentiart'ti the production of good qual-

of ground limestone every four years
has produced an tnerease in crops
worth ten dollars •for every ten of
limestone used.
