Henry Smith, mother of H. E. Smith, of Seaforth, in her 77th' year, Mrs. • Smith had been ill for several months. She was the former Louisa Ohm and was born t*at' itostock, near Stratford, and resid- ed with her husband, on a farm near Rostock until 1920 when they moved to. Milverton. The var- ious reports were read and.. accepted. While, the members stood, a special memorial pralyer was. read. recalling the passing of Vars. Wm. Smith. Scott.—Marg- aret Ann Thompson, widow" ,•of the late Thomas G. Scott, of Seaforth, died at the home of her son in De- troit an S'uuday, June 1. While. on a • visit to the home of her eon early in the year, Mrs. Scott had the mis- fortune to fell and fracture her hip, but was making a satisfactory recov- ery when she suffered a, heart attack on Sunday. She was born on the Thompson homestead in MMKitlop township 76 years ego, and spent her early life there. On August 22, 1893, she was united in marriage to Mr. Thomas G. Scott, and since then had continuously resided in Seaforth. - ur- ing her long residence here she took an active part .ire church -and social circles, where .her genial, hospitable personality had made her a general favorite- Mrs. Scott was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the, Rebekah Lodge.
