sang a duet, accompanied by Doris
Pullman. Miss. Graham then told a
very interesting story. Hymn . No.
212 was sung and the meeting clos-
ed with Taps.
Presbyterian Groups Hold Joint
Meeting.—Miss Williamson, returned
m,issiuuary from India, was the guest
speaker at the joint meeting of the
W.M.S. e and Barbara Kirkman Auxil-
iary of First Presbyterian Church on
Tuesday evening, when she gave a
graphic 'story of the life and customs
in India. She also told of her work
among the Mils at .lmkut as a
school teacher. Mrs. J. E. Daley,
president of the Barbara Kirkman
Auxiliary, presided -over the meeting,,
and after calling for the 'business of'
both societies, Mrs. Wm. Freeman
read the Scripture 'lesson, Mrs. 3. A.
Munn, Mrs. Edgar Butt and Miss P.
Patterson sang "Dear Land of Home
and Glory," •accompanied by Mrs, M.
R. Rennie. During •the..taking of the
collection Mrs. 3: E. 'Keating played
a piano eelo • very acceptably. Mrs.
David Ritchie gave an earnest prayer
and, the collection was received by
Mrs, Ken Campbell and Mrs: Mae,
Dorrance, The meeting closed with
a hymn and prayer.

Death of Mrs. William Smith.—The
death occurred at her home, Market
Street, Seaforth, on Wednesday, May
21. •of Florence Rea, beloved wife of
Mr. William Smith, after an illness
of three months, Mrs. Smith was
born in Birmingham, England, 70
years ago, and on ,December 23, 1300,
was united in marriage at Coventry
to Mr., William Smith. Three years
Iater she came. to Canada with her
husband 'and settled in Seaforth,
where she continued to reside until
her death. She was a member of S ,
,Thomas•' Anglican Church , and • highly
esteemed: Besides her 'husband she
is survived by a son and daughter, Miss
Annie•Smiith, at home, and Mr. Jack,
Hockton Smith, of Plattsville. The
funeral will be held on Saturday, May
24, from the G. A: Whitney Funeral
Chapel, Main Street, when the ser-
vice will be conducted by her Rector,
Rev. C. F. L. Gilbert. Interment will
be made in Ma_itlaadbank cemetery.

Meets.—The May meeting of the W.
A., and W.M.S. was 'held at the home
of Mrs, S. -Nott on Thursday, May 15.
,The meeting opened . with the presi-
dent of the W.A. in, the chair.. Hymn
163 was .sung and the Lord's Prayer
repeatedin . unison. The minutes of
the previous• meeting were road and
adopted and the.roli call taken. Fol-
lowing ,the business period Mrs. Doig
ably took the topic, "Minder are like
parachutes, they only functionwhen
open." Mrs. J. Watson gave a short
reading. The W.M.S. president, Mrs.
W. A. Gardiner, then took over the
meeting. Mrs. Keyes gave a short
article on "Temperance" and Mrs.
Clemens one on "Christian' Steward=
ship," Mrs. E. Cameron took the
topic, "China," Mrs. Richardson con-
ducted the worship service from the
study, book,' Mrs. , Gardiner closed
the meeting with prayer, Mrs. Hay
conducted an interesting- contest and
a delicious lunch , was served by
Group 1.
Adurt Fellowship Group Meets. --
The Adult Fellowship Group of North-
side United Church entertained the
*Tuesday Night G1ub of First Presby-
terian Church on Monday evening,
Mr. .ioh'n Stevens, the president, wel-
comed $he visiting . society and the
meeting opened by singing "What a

Clarke led in prayer. Business was
dispensed witff and the roll was call-

Feeney - Walsh. -A pretty wedding
took plane in S't. ,James' Church, Sea -
forth, when„Teresa Elizabeth, daugh-
ter of Mr, and -Mrs. John Walsh, of
Seaforth, became the bride of” Fer-
gus Olarenco Feeney, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Feeney, Hibbert town-
ship, Rev. T. P. Hussey performed
the ceremony, and Rev, Father Nigh,
uncle of ,the 'bride, sang the nuptial
mass. The bride, given. in marriage

Death of. Robert H. Harrison.—The
death occurred,,.,on 'Monday, May 12,
in Christie Street Hospital,. Toronto,_
of Robert H.' -Harrison, of 44 Leopold
St., Toronto. Mr. -Harrison resided
in Egmondville for several years un-
til his removal to Toronto two years
ago. He is survived by his wife, the
