Women's Institute Will Meet. -The
regular meeting of the Seaforth Wo-'
men's Institute will be held in the
basement of. Carnegie Library en
Tuesday, Mareh. 11, at 2,30 p.in. It is
planned to set, up a quilt for quilt-
ing- Members will please come to
this meeting prepared to discuss the
group hospitalization plan; also to
bring their iiat of guests to be invit-
ed to the W.I. banquet on April 10.
The roll call will be answered by au
Irish joke. Lunch will' be, served,
Northside W. A. Meets.—The W.A.
of -,Northside United Church met on
Tuesday evening, March .4, at the,
home of Sirs.• David Lemon. The
meeting opened with Hymn 50-2, fol-
lowed by the Lord's Prayer in unison.
The minutes were read 'and approv-
ed. Mrs. LloydMoreigou had clirarge
of the devotional period, and the reit
call was answered by nineteen mem-
bers. Humorous Irish readings were
given by Mrs, E. B. Goudie' and ,Miss
Susan Goveillock. The meeting clos-
ed with the,hytiin, "Take Time To Be
Holy," and a social half-hour was

Tuesday. Interment was in Maitlaiad"
bank cemetery, Rev. H. V. Workman
conducting the services. The pall-

Presbyterian Ladies' Aid Meets.—

Aid Society- of First Presbyterian
Church. was held on Tuesday after-
noon, _March 4, with thirty-tw'o prevent. Mrs. 51.. McKell'ar's group pre-
pared the urogram. ..The president.

singing the hytun. "Dear Lord and
Father of Mankind," SIrs. Scott led in
prayer. During the business period
various items of business were dis-
cussed and settled. Twenty calls
were made on shut-ins Lind newcom-
ers during January and February.
Mrs C 'E Smith was the guest speak-
er for. this meeting. Choosing fdr•her
subject" `Youth and •the Ciaurch," :Mrs.
Splith gave' a most impressive and
very .worthwhile talk. .Mrs, E. A, llc-'
Master sang two very pleaising solos.
"The Sunshine of Your Smile" and'
"Smiling • Through."' Following the
singing of the hymn, "Faith of Our
Fathers,"- the• meeting closed with the
Lord's Prayer. A social hour follow-
ed when refreshments were served.
The Late Harvey R, Johns. -,- The
sudden death of Harvey Robert Johns
of •Egmondv ilie,' came as a. shock to
ai fr.i.ends on •Friday February 28.
at an early hour in th3 morning, hav-
ing suffered a heart condition. De-
ceased was born in Tuckersmith 71
years ago and was' married in On-
tario Street Methodist Church, Clin—
ton, to Miss -Sophia, Stonehouse, who
survives him, together with one' bro-
ther. Mr. Addison Johns, of Newmar-
ket, and +ihree, sisters, Mrs. Robert
Lawson, Hullett; Mrs. Reo.. Allen,
Goderich, and Mrs. Robert Seeley,
Clinton. Mr. Johns Was a farmer all
his life and was a member of the
Anglican Church. The funeral Was
held on •Saturday from the Box Fun-
eral Parlors' with Rev, C. F. L. G1;-
bert. officiating, assisted by Rev. A.
W. Gardiner. The pallbearers wehe.
Messrs, Andrew McLellan, Rody Mc-
Lean, Norman McLean„ .Alex Lillico,
Ivy Henderson and Roy McGeoch. In-
terment was ip Egmondville cemetery.
The Late Mrs. Edward Daley.—Fol-
lowing a short illness the death oc-
curred Friday, February 28th, at her
home in Oshawa, of Grace Cudmore,
beloved wife of Edward Daley, in her
72nd year. Mrs. Daley had been in
poor health for several months. Born
in Huron County, near Clinton,• the
deceased was the daughter of the late
William, and Louise Cudmore. She
.was married at the home of her par-
ents, London Road, in September,

family lived at Seaforth for 19 years
and later at Walkerton before going
to Oshawa two and a half years ago.
Mrs. Daley was a member of North-
minster United Church of that city,
Predeceased by a daughter, Myrtle,
in 1906, and a son, Emerson, in 1931,
Mrs. Daley leaves besides her hus-
band, three daughters,' Mrs. Frank
Thomson (Dorothy), of Toronto; Mrs,
Eldon Southwell (Margaret) .and Miss
Ethel Daley, of Oshawa. Also surviv-
ing are three sisters,, Mrs. ,T., 5, Wat-
son, of Vancouver; .Mrs. T, Workman,
of Kippers, and Mrs., H, Horton, of

ly of Mr. Brownlee's accomplishments

from the staff of a "Parker 51" pen
by the genial "Dean of Agents," How-
ard J.' McComb. A beautiful floral
tribute was presented to Mrs., Brown-
lee by Miss Zelia Lander, o'f'fice su-
per -visor. In reply, Mr. Brownlee ex-
pressed his deep appreciation of these

and esteem. He also , spoke . with
pride of his 30• years association with
