Here's another booby hatch special.
Thls one's about a psychiatrist who
dropped into an asylum to look over
an inmate who had the .idea he was
Royalty.
"I'm sure I am a king," he said.
"Satan
"Satan told we so," •
There was a growl from the -next
froom and a voice said angrily: "I
told you nothing of the kind."

The results !of Field Day did not
surprise us at all, at. least as fat as
our Senior. Champs went. We knew
Donna Watson and Bill Butchart
would come out on top, 'cus they are
our crowning glory when it Comes • to
athletics, and we're proud of their
excellent work. As for our Intermedi-
ate Champs, they' came by it rightly
too. Jerry Meir was last year's .junior
champ, so .why shouldn't he be this
year's intermediate? Barbara Dale
Bide, ,blund.ering `. B t}es'2!--who are.
'busy planning and( acepuuting for a
defeat, are suffering as a result
of field day.•

Last Friday mgrning's assembly tal-
• ent was one of the best yet. She wr:s
wonderful! Sensational! And now
that everyone knows of her talent,
we want her back again soon, We11,
'.in case you're wondering who it was,
I'll tell you --our Nightingale of Sea- sister of .Betty Dale, .highest girl's
' forth High --Miss Marj. Hunt. Marj., scorer all through High School, and
you were swell, but I guess I don't holder of the Duncan Cap, so we can
see. where Barb, inherits her athletic
ability. Our Junior .Champs were ex-
cellent too. ' Edna Huisser, if I re-
member correctly, was junior champ
last year, and • Don Dale, a young
First Former, deserves credit for his
first attempt in Field Day. .-
Everything turned out Well though,
except that the "Blue's" team lost.
The boys' "Blue" team' won, but I'm
afraid the girls let them down, and
when _added together the total was
less than the "Red' team's. So that
means -that the "Blues" are giving a
party for the "Reds" on Friday night.

Wherever you go, in any Form,
yo(i'll find some'one with a bright
idea. Buddy..Smitb's.new communica-
$,. : tion in° passing his notes is by- air.
Yes, he folds his note into the paper
a.el'oplane fashion, and then, when
"no one" (meaning the teacher) isn't
•looking, swish through the 'air flies
the note. The landing field is usual-
ly Doris Ferguson; then long enough
after an answer can:, be written, the
sea tong ors +.. • " plane , returns and lands on Buddy's
desk. Well; .at least they're not un-
derhanded about their notes:
Our first' dance' of the year! My,
how we've'looked forward to it. Yes,
this Friday- night the "Blues" are ,giv-
ing
giving a big jamboree at the school. It's
going to be a good night, full of fun
and dancing. We're trying to make it
interesting •so that you won't go away
saying that it *as just an old school
dance, • and we didn't ' hive , any fun.
Well, you Won't have fun anywhere if
you don't make up your Mind -at first
that you are, and don't 'participate in
the events ofthe evening. Oh, yes. I
happpnped to hear in .the •halls a cou-
ple of girls talking about not going to
the ' party because nobody, (man,
natch!) had asked them. Well, that's
silly; very few will be going 'with
anyone in particular. Besides, it
won't do you any good anyway; nine
chances out of ten you wouldn't be
with him because matching numbers
are the couples for the evening (more
fun that way!). So don't forget, kids,
8.00 p.m. Friday night at; the S.H.S.
