Mrs. Gersham. Johnston, of R.R. 3, Wingham, be- came the bride of Mr. Charles W. Wood, son of Mrs. C. W. Wood and the late. Mr. Wood, of Seaforth. The. double -ring ceremony was performed by Rev. W. We A. Beecroft. The bride. given in marriage by her father, wore a street -length dress of tur- quoise blue crepe ' with matching headdress and shoulder length veil and black acccessorfes. She wore a corsage' of pink roses and cornflowers. As her attendant, her, sister, Miss Lois Johnston, wore an American Beauty crepe dress with matching headdress and ,accessories and wore a corsage of• -white roses. LMr, Donald Wood, -brother of the groom; was best man, After the ceremony d wedding dinner was served to immediate rel- atives. For travelling the bride wore a brown. tailored 'suit with gold and brown accessories. After a .trip ' to Niagara, Toronto, Windsor and De- troit, they will reside in Seaforth. Guests were present from .Windsor, London, Seaforth, Toronto, Auburn, Kitchener and Whitechurch. • Death of Mrs. John L. Henderson.— The enderson—The death of a life-long resident of this district, Mrs., John L. Henderson, occurred suddenly Monday, Sept. 2, at her home in Egmondville.• Mrs. Hen- derson, who had been in ailing health for the past four months, suffered a heart attack Monday night to which she succumbed. Born in Egmondville August 18, 1860, she was the former Miss Sarah Jane Shannon, daughter Of the late Mr., and Mrs. William James Shannon. Sixty-four years ago she was married to John Henderson, who predeceased her by five years. Mrs. Henderson Was 'a member of the United Church, Egmondville, She is survived by one sister, Miss Margaret Shannon, Egmondville. The body rested at her late residence until Wednesday afternoon when the fun- eral service was held at 2.30 o'clock. Burial was made to Maitlandbank cemetery, The pallbearers were Messrs. Ivy Henderson, John Hender- son, John E. Daley, Roy McMane, A. C., Routledge and. John Watson, Rev. W. A. Gardiner officiated, assisted by Rev. Elford.
