Double Wedding on Parent's Anni-
versary.—A quiet but pretty double
wedding took place at Northside Unit-
ed Church, ,Goderich, when Muriel
Jane, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Racho, of :Egmondville, became
the bride of Wilmer Lyon MacGregor,
youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William
MacGregor, Kippen, and Catherine
Mary Green, youngest daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Green. Egmondville
became ' the bride of Stanley , Earl
Racho, second .eldest sou of M. and
Mrs. James Racho, Egmondville, Rev.
George Murray, B -A.; performed the
ceremonies. The brides looked charm•
ing in long white gowns of figured
sheer, made ' on princess lines with
long •train, Queen Anne headdresses
and floor -length veils. The ,brides
carried cascades of deep red roses
and baby;s . breath. Each bride at-

—The August meeting of the Barbara
Kirkman Auxiliary of First Presby=
terian Church. 'was held on Tuesday
evening. In the absence of the presi-
dent, the business part of the meet-
ing was conducted by Mrs. 'H. R.
Scott. • The •programme 'was,,, in
charge of the Graham Group, of
which Mrs. Dale Nixon is' convener;
and who. presided during the devo-

The offering was taken by Mrs. W.I
G. Wright. Interesting current ev-
ents were given by Mss. Robt. Smith.,
The, topic taken from the study 'boost;
on Missionary Work' in Africa, was
very ably, given by,. Miss Belie Camp-
bell. Mrs. E. A. McMaster sang "My
Task," accompanied by Mrs. G. A.
Whitney, a very fitting addition to an
interesting program. The annual
meeting of the Huron Presbyterial
will be held in Hensel! "Sept. 10.

Presbyterian W. M. S. Meets, --The
Senior W.M.S- of First Presbyterian
Church held its meeting on Tuesday
afternoon. The president, Mrs. Robt:
Eberhart, opened the meeting with. a
hymn and prayer: After the usual re-,
ports, arrangements for attendance of
members at the rally in Hensall on
Se.pternber 10th were discussed. This
society is responsible for three num-
bers on the program. Mrs. McKellar,
of Hamilton, past president of the
Provincial Society, will be the guest
speaker. Mrs. Wm.- McLaren's gvoup.
had charge of the devotional part of
the program. After prayer and a.
hymn, Mrs. W. Freeman: gave the
Bible reading and Mrs. Neil Gillespie
gave current events. Prayer .by Mrs.

the lives and work of three prominent
