Baynes.— Charles H. Baynes, of 59.0 Axford Stt, London, and a former resident of Sea - forth, d'r'opped, dead in London short- ly after:,noon Saturday as he was cut- ting the hair of a cxi tomer in the barber shop in Which- he was employ- ed. Witnesses reported Mr. Baynes staggered agaihst the adjoining chair and collapsed on the floor. Two chairs in the barber shop were occupied at the time and two customers were waiting. Coroner Dr. A. R. Routledge was called and pronounced , Mr. Haynes dead of a heart .attack. No inquest will be .held. Mr. Beypes had been employed at' the barber -shop for the past six weeks and bad come to London from Seaforth .about one year' ago. He was born in Granton. He is a member•. of Granton Lodge 483, the Mocha Shrine, London, and attended Colborne' United Church. The body rested at the Evans funeral home until Tuesday morning, when it was forwarded to.Lucan for inter- ment in St. James' cemetery, Claude- boye. Mr. Baynes is survived by his widow,, Mrs. Myrtle Baynes; a son, Jadk, and' two daughters, Maxine and brother John, ofr Si., Marys.-- at home, and a b..r _.... - ...._. _:__.., Dr. Brigham. Honored•—Dr. L. W. Brigham, a native of Huron County, and a cousin of. Mrs. William Mason, of Seaforth, was recently honored by the citizens of Star City, Alberta, where he has been a successful prac- titioner for 40 years: The paper of that city reports the occasion .as fol- lows: "Aanquet was tendered by the., old -ti ers of Star City and dis- tridt `offThursday, It 'the Star City -Elks Hall in honor of Dr. • Lorenzo William Brigham on the completion of forty years of faithful service to the community. He arrived in Star •G'ity as a young -man to start his prac- tice on May 16, 1906. About • 200 per- sons attended a dinner served by the Star City Community Club. After sup- per Toastmaster C. R. Woolard open- ed the program with a toast -to '`The King." Community„singing was led by R. S. Paul assisted by Mrs. ,J. D. C.. Armstrong at the piano. Toasts were 'given as follows: "The medical pro- fession,” i L., T. -R. 'Smith; "the town and . community," -C. R. Woolard; "our guest of honor," R. J. Greaves. Re- plying to these toasts were J. A. Mae- Donald, Mayor S. C. Starkey, Doctor Levitt of Melfort, Dr. Brigham, was presented on behalf of .the community with a gold' watcli suitably inscribed, by Mrs. N. G. Reinhart. Dr. Brigham•. has labored in this community .faith- fully all through the past 40 years, ministering to the sick in their need and treating all, rich or poor, alike. The good that the doctor did in the community is practically beyond esti- mation. Hundreds were assisted and literally hundreds owe•him a tremen- dous debt which can never be repaid. Towards the close of t.h.e proceedings a toast to "the ladies" was' made. re- plied to by Mrs. D. Campbell. Others taking part in the program with songs and musical 'selections were 'Mrs. T.
