of butter is due mostly to the high

date of May .11th, reports the death
• of a member of_ a well known family
in this district some years ago,: "A
faralKar figure at the locks for the
past 29 years, Peter A. Blair, of 818
Adams Avenue, died at his home at
940 a.m. today,.,,,HaturdaY,' May lit,
folloWing, an illness of.seven months,.
Ile was 03 years of age. Mr. Blair,
who, Until the beginning of his illness,
served •as, lochmaster, was born June
9, 1882, at Kippen: Ont., being the
Second son . of Benjamin Blair and
Elsie Cooper. He , moved to this city
with his parents when he was a young'
man, -and waa.married here on August
15, 1916. He was.an ardent fisherman
and lover of the outdoors. Surviving
are his 'wife, Maude, a son, Raymon,
and -a daughter, lirsTjohn (Evelyn)
Hope, all •of the Sault. He ts, further
survived by five grandchildren, Lel-
ores and John • Hope, and Margaret,
Marion ,and Eilene Blair, and a sis-
ter, Mary of Sudbury, Ont." •
'We, are sorry to report that Rev.
Mr. Hinton was taken to Scott Mein -
oriel Hospital, aeaforth, on Thursday
last in.the interest' of his knee, which
Was fractUred some time ago. Pealed,

that he will soon he muck better.
