Death of Rev. C. C. Kaine. -,..The
death occurred at his home in Sea -
forth on Saturday, June 9th, of Rev.
C. C. Kaine, • retired Minister of the
United Church, in his 84th year. Mr.
Kaine had served in the Methodist
and United Churches • in Cecil,'White-
ehurch, Courtright, Brownsville, Gran-
ton, Londesboro, Cottam, Thames -
vine, Dorchester, Atwood and Dun-
gannon. He was born at Dungannon
but when a child his parents had
moved to Gerrie, where he spent much
of his young life. Surviving are a
daughter and two eons, Miss Luella,
'Ottawa; Melbourne, Winnipeg, and
Rev. Irving B. Kaine, Dunnville. Fun-'
eral service was held at Northside
United Church, Seaforth, on Tuesday,
at 2.30 p.m., with interment in,Har
-
purhey cemetery.
Death of Mrs. Francis A. Faulkner.
—The death occurred at her home on
George Street, on Thursday, June '14,
of Annie Lambert, widow of the late
Francis A. Faulkner. She was 74
years of age. Mrs. Faulkner was born
on Market Street, Seaforth, and fol-
lowing her ,marriage in 1892 lived inm
-Wiiigha, -Toronto, Strathroy and
Gode'rich, later moving 'to Seaforth
where she has spent the past 40
years. Mr. Faulkner ,passed away in
1926. Mrs. Faulkner was a 'Very kind
and hospitable woman and will be
missed.in the home. She was educat-
ed in Seaforth public ;school and was
a member of St. James' Church, the
Altar Society, League of the Sacred
Heart and the C.W.L. She is surviv-
,,ed by two sons, Fred, of Detroit, and
William J„ of Kitchener, and two
daughters, Misses Lillian and Loretto
at home; also three grandchildren.
The funeral will take place on Satur-
day. at 9.30 from her late home to
St. James' Church, and thence to St.
James' cemetery- for interment. Rev.
T. P. Hussey will officiate, and the
pallbearers will be Messrs, P. J. Dor-
sey, W. J. Duncan, J. M. McMillan,
W. Devereaux, Chas. Hagan and J.
M. Eckert..

Miss -Sarah Sinclair, who hags been
in St, Joseph's Hospital, London, was
able to' return home on Monday of
this week.
Sunday first is being set aside as
Baptismal Sunday, in St. Andrew's
Church. The service will be conduct-
ed by the minister, who 'will speak
on "Answering God"

The Late -,,Mrs. Isaac Bolton
The death ' took place on Friday,
Rine 8th, in McKillop, of Elizabeth
Ann Hackwell, widow of the late
Isaac Bolton. Mrs. Bolton was i11 on-
ly a week. She was born in McKil-
lop on• October 20, 18g8, and was mar-
ried in. 1889 ands Aired in this com-
munity -
unity all her life. Mr. Bolton pass-
ed away in 1935. Deceased was a
faithful member of the W.A. of Beth-
el United Church, She leaves to
m.olarn her loss, six sons and two
daughters: Leonard, of Seaforth;
William B. and Joseph I., of Roches-
ter, N.Y.; Leslie W,, Samuel W.,, and
Earl W„ of McKillop, and Mrs. Wm.
Humphries, Walton, and Mrs. G.
Glousher, of Wingham, The funeral
took place from her late , residence
or, the 14th concession on Monday,
with interment in Maitlandbank . cem-
etery.
After 44 years, executors of the es-
tate of Thomas M. Bell, McKillop
Township farmer, Saturday gave up a
search for three of his heirs and ob-
tained authority to pay into court the
money they are entitled to receive
•according• to his will, When Mr, Bell
died he left an estate with a value of
$691,51 which the London. & Western
Lt
Trusts Co. d- was authorized to
,distribute to his family as an ap-
pointed administrator, By January,
1909, his property had been turned in-
to cash and a search for his heirs be-
gan,. He was a native of Ireland him-
self and, was a bachelor. Four bro-
thers and two sisters were determin-
ed as bis rightful heirs. A sister, Mrs,
Sarah E. Maloney, was found to be
living in McKillop Township, The re-
maining sister and four brothers were
known to have been in Ireland, Sub-
sequently two of these,l Robert and•
WWellman were found and .their in-
heritance paid. The whereabouts of
John and Daniel Bell and a sister,
Mrs. 'Mary Stevens, whose last known
address was Galway, Ireland, bas not
been discovered. Originally the sum
of $296,14 was to be divided between
tthe thane messing heirs, Interest ac-
cumulating upon interest Since 1909
,has 'increased,. the oapital, Of $496.31;
'which amount the taint received.

Council Meets
The regular meeting" of the Hullett
township council met Thursday, Jutie
7th, in the Community Hall; Londes-
boro, ; with the- Reeve• anti all mem-
bers of the council in attendance.
Motion by Wm. J, Dale and W. It
Jewitt: That the minute's of the last
regular meeting and special meetings
of May 10th and 25th, be adopted.
Carried. Geo,- Brown and J. Ira Rap-
son: That this council now adjourn
to open the court of revision for, ap-
peals on the assessment roll. Carried:
The Clerk read the oath of -the court
of revision and Reeve and all mem-
bers subscribed to same. Win. J. Dale
