Death of Mrs. James Scott. — Mr.
Charles Brodie has received word of
the death of his sister, Mrs, Janes
Scott, of Edmonton, who passed away
at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Doss Jackson, 1n Sylvania, Sask. The
late Mrs. Scott was a former resident
of Seaforth, her husband being a mem-
ber of Scott Bros., who operated the
electric light works ,here.
Stanbury. - Aitenson.—The wedding
took place on Saturday, April 17th, of
Olive, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Alleuson, of Waterloo, to Mr. Karl K.
Stanbury, sort of Mr, and Mrs. William
Stanbury, of Egmondville. Rev. Rob-
erts of the United Church, Waterloo,
performed the ceremony. Following
the cereruony Mr. and Mrs. Stanbury
left on a trip to Toronto, and upon
their return will reside in Waterloo.

by .the Lord's Prayer. The minutes of
the last meeting were read and adopt-
ed and the roll call taken, The busi-
ness was discussed and the Subject of
the tennis club was discussed. Thele
is to be an open meeting on Tuesday
evening, May 1lth, at 7 ;o'clock in
the church.. All those interested are
requested to be present. Next week,
Monday night to Friday night, inclu-
sive, is a Ieadership training course,
and those who are interested are ask -
',ed to be present. Lorna Dale, citi-
zenship convener, took charge and
Marguerite Westcott read the scrip-
ture, followed by prayer by Betty Dun-
lop: Lorna Dale took the topic, "Citi-
zenship." "Faith Of Our Fathers"
was sung and the meeting closed with
the Mizpah benediction.
Barbara Kirkman Auxiliary Meets.
'—The Easter thankoffering ',meeting of
the Barbara Kirkman Auxiliary of
First Presbyterian Church was held.
on Wednesday evening. The guest
speaker, Mrs. .Fowler, of Bluevale,
gave a most interesting and inspiring
address on the Chinese of Vancou-
ver and 4he work of the Presbyterian
church in . that cite with' the Chinese
people. Mrs. Fowler spent ten years
in Vancouver where her husband was
the minister in one of that city's
churches, The program:was in charge
of the: Elder group :of which Mrs. Jas.
1+'. Scott is convener. Mrs. Dale Nix-
on read the scripture lesson and Mrs.
C. Reith gave the Glad Tidings..pray-
er. Mrs. J. E. Daley and Miss P.. Pat-
terson sang a duet, and Mrs. ''R. B.
Holmes and Mrs. W. M. Stewart took
Up the offering, which amounted to
$55.00. Mrs. Hugh Jack gave the clos-
ing prayer. At the close of the meet-
ing the ladies were served a cup of
tea by Mrs. Jack and her daughters
at the Manse, at which a social time
was, spent and those present given an,
opportunity to meet Mrs. Fowler.

Death of Robert Arthur Scott.—
There passed away in Ottawa on,
Thursday, April 22nd, Robert Arthur
Scott, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
John Scott, of Roxboro, pioneer resi-
dents of McKillop Township. Mr. Scott
was .born in Seaforth 56 years ago
and attended school at Roxboro and
Seaforth Collegiate Institute. Later
he went to Normal School at London
and taught for several years at Col-
chester and Harrow. He was --then-
for some time a cost accountant in
the Studebaker firm in Detroit, for
several years manager of the John
Currie estate in Windsor, also for five
years was manager of the Windsor
Arena, and for five years accountant
and manager for Commander Earl 1Vic-
Queen in Amherstburg. For the past
18 months he had been living in Ot-
tawa where he was employed as an
accountant for the Department of Na-
tional Defence, Naval Service. He is
survived by his wife, the former Myr-
tle Creighton, of Arrier; one daughter,
Mrs. Hawley Tennant, of Siid'bnry;
one son, .ohn, of Windsor; two•sis-
ters, MPs, rank Novak, 'Medicine Hat,
and Mrs. R. Barber, of Sovereign;
Sask., ' and two brothers, James • T.
Scott and Anderson Seott,- of Sea -
forth. He was a singer of outstand-
ing ability and has been heard on the
radio many times. The funeral took
place from the undertaking parlor of
James Sutton, Wttidsor, on Monday
last. The organist of St. A.ttdreve's
Church, Windsor, played during the
Servide and Dr. Paulin, of .the same
church, • officiated. Internment took
place ,In Windsor Grove Ceineterp,
the pallbearers being six meuibera of

Mrs. Wm. Chapman returned to her
home in Egmondville after a, pleasant
visit with Mr. and 'Mrs. Robert McGre-
gor and fainly.
The funeral of -the late Kenneth
Jackson, B.S.A., took place from the
home of his brother, Stanley, on Sat-
urday afternoon, April 17th; with Rev.
A. W. Gardiner officiating, assisted by
Rev. James Elford. The many 'beau
tifui floral wreaths bore tribute to the
high esteem in 'which Mr. Jackson was
,held. The pallbearers were Robert
Mc•Kercher, Robert Munn, Edwin Ches-
ney, Harry Chesney,- John Elgie and
Ivan Forsythe, The flower bearers
were Robert Tyndall, Jaines McIntosh,
Charles Eyre, Wallace Powell, Cecil
Pullman, High' McMillan, John Mc-
Naughton and Andrew Bell. Inter-
ment was in the Parkhill cemetery,
near his former Home, where a large
number of friends, and relatives as-
sembled. A letter received by his
mother from a former Collegiate
teacher, paid tribute to Mr. Jackson
in these words: "As a student in my
classes, he was outstanding -for his.
earnestness of purpose, his humour,
his ability, his, high 'ideals, and his
appreciation of the finest things in
life. His death leavers me with a deep
feeling of personal loss." The, sym-
pathy of the entire community is felt
for the family in the passing of this
popular young man. -

married in Detroit more than 60 years
ago, but' after the death of her hus-
band she moved to Chicago where she
had resided with her, brother, Louis
Carpenter. She possessed a kindly
charitable disposition and had a wide
circle of loyal friends. The funeral
was held in Chicago. She is survived
by two sisters, Mrs. Terese Redmond
of Dublin, and Mrs. M. Corrigan,- of
Winnipeg; also ''two brothers, Louis,
of Chicago, and Daniel, of Milwaukee.

The bonus will be, paid on all stand-,
and grades of Canadian unvrashed
fleece wool, with the exception of •re-
ject and defective grades, where the
wool has been prepared by ,the grower
in• accordance with the regulations:
1. (a) The wool must be free of
seeds, chaff, straw, burrs, manure'
tags; and- other foreign matter;
(b) The hairy and black or grey lea -
and face clippings must be kept sep-
arate and must not be rolled with the
fleece;
(c) Each fleece must be folded and
tied separately, preferably rolled]
from britch to neck with, the flesh. side'
-out;
(d) Fleeces must 6e kept intact and
tied with the standard paper fleece -
twine. Where necessary, the neck por-
tion. of the fleece, lightly twisted, may-
be used for holding the fleece intact.
The bonus will not be paid on wool::
tied with binder twine or other sisal
twine.
Note.—The bonus will not be paid
on any wool which has to be cleaned
and properly prepared after being re-
ceived at a Registered Wool Ware-
house.
2. To qualify for the bonus, all'tho- ..
wool_in a.consignment, or portion of a
consignment specially separated, must
be in accordance with these regula-
tions. (For Convenience of the grower
in shipping, the wool eligible for bon-
us and the rejeot portion of the olio'
may be packed and included- in the
same sack or container provided a sat-
isfactory division has been made in
order to protect the clean portion of -
the clip).
