He was in his 78th year. He had • suf- fered a stroke about two years ago and' did not fully recover. Mr. Mc- Intosh was married to Margaret Lati- mer, formerly of Seaforth, and at one time conducted a blacksmith shop on Goderich Street West. Ha is sur- vived by his wife, one son, Gerald, and three brothers and one sister. In- terment was made in Detroit. McLean - Brugger.—A quiet wedding was solemnized at the Manse of First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth, at 10 a.m., Friday, July 31st, when Rev. Hugh Jack united in- marrtage Fran- ces Helen Brugger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Brugger, to Keith Ian McLean, son of Mr. an& Mrs. Keith McPhail McLean, Sea - forth. The - bride was attired in a street -length dress of powder blue chiffon, and carried a bouquet of Sweetheart roses and forget-me-not. Her attendant was Miss Joan Dev- ereaux, Seaforth, who wore flowered chiffon and a corsage of white roses and forget-me-not. The groom was attended by his only brother, Mr. A. Y. McLean. After the wedding the couple left for a brief honeymoon, and on their return they will reside in Seaforth on Goderich Street East., Churches Union Services—Northside and First Presbyterian Churches; services , in Northside Church; Sabbath Schools at 10 a.m.; morning subject, "A Spir- itual Conflict"; evening subject, "Things Hidden and Revealed."—Rev. Death of Arthur Levi Trick.—The death occurred on Saturday, August lst, in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, following an operation, of Arthur Levi Trick, in his 81st year. He was born near Embro in Oxford County, and was married 56 years ago at Woodlands Farm, Goderich Township, to Frances M. Jenkins. He was the son of the late Thomas Trick and Katherine Clarke, of Clinton, and is survived by his wife and three dough ters: Mrs. F. Townsend, Tucker smith; Mrs. W. W. Wise, Goderic Township, and Mrs. F. W. Lawrence of Hamilton; one son, Arthur, o Windsor, and two brothers, Harr Trick and Frank Trick, of Trick' Mill Farm, Goderich Township. H received his education in Nissou• and Goderich Townships and was farmer until ' he joined the Murra Shoe Company of London- from 1921 1930. He came to this district 1870, being a pioneer resident ,o Goderich Township, and a, member o the United Church, The funeral too place on Monday, August 3rd, fro the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W Wise, Goderich Township, with Rev G. Burton, of Clinton, officiating, as sisted by Rev. W. J. Taylor, of Dor chester. Interment was made in Clin ton cemetery with six nephews • a pallbearers: Wilmer Wallis, Clinton; Walter Washington, Auburn; Edwar Dobie, Forest; Herbert Jenkins, Clin ton; Amos Andrew, Auburn, and El mer Trick, Clinton. Hiles, . of Tupperville, Ont., cousin' of the groom, officiated and Miss Doris Pearen, of Toronto, play- ed the bridal music. The room was beautifully decorated for this occasion and the large bay window banked with gladioli and fern made a very attractive setting for the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Mr. John H. Purkis, entered the room to the strains of the wed- ding march, wearing a long graceful gown of white triple sheer over taf- feta with fitted bodice and full skirt made on' draped lines. Her finger-tip veil was caught up with orange blos- soms, and she carried a shower bou- quet of Sweetheart roses, Bouvardia, Stephinolis, Blue Larttspur and Baby's Breath. Miss Winnifred Purkis. sis- ter of the bride, was the maid of honor, weer ieg a sheer gown of sum- mer sky over taffeta with tucked bodice. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Carter, sister of the groom, .wore lovely gown of shell pink sheer over taffeta with sweetheart neckline. They carried Colonial bouquets • of Dream Roses and Baby's Breath and wore flowers in their hair. Mr. M. B. Brown, of Picton, was best man. Dur- ing the.signing of the register, bridal music was" played softly. Following the ceremony a delightful reception was held in the garden. , The bride's mother wore a gown of black sheer and lace with a corsage of Sweetheart roses and a feather hat. • The groom's mother wore a gown of heavenly blue crepe with cutwork trimming, corsage of Sweetheart roses and large rose hat. The bride's table was centred with a three-storey wedding cake topped with flowers frown` the bride's bouquet and encircled with four • pink candles, ferns and Sweet- heart roses, The color scheme of pink and blue was carried throughout. Later the. bride and groom left amid showers of confetti and good wishes on a• trip to Northern• Ontario, the bride travelling in a. British navy en- semble with matching hat and white accessories. Mr, and Mrs. Carter will reside at,446 Roseburn Ave., Toronto, where Mr. Carter is a member of the staff of the Forest Hill Central School.
