Born in F,rgmondville, Gra, Mrs. 'Stevens was in her 58th year. She was a resident of Waterloo for the bast five years, living prior to that time in Kitchener. Surviving are her .hus+band,.two daughters Mrs, B. Epees, of Toronto, and Miss Betty Stevens, at home, and two sons, Jack- son Close, of Waterloo, and William Stevens at home. Surviving also is a sister, Miss Isabel Jackson, of Eg- mondville, and two brothers, W. O. 'Jackson and'.;,, A. Jackson, of Ripley. There are foul. grandchildren. Fun- eral will be from the residence on Friday afternoon at 2.30 and inter= went, in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Canon R. J. Seton -Adamson will offi- ciate." - Death of Robert Wilson. — The. death took place in Sombre Town- ship; of Robert Wilson, a.former well known resident of Seaforth. He had been living with his grand nephew, Allan L Meredith, near Wallaceburg, for the past eight months and died after 'a few hours' illness. He was' born in Scotland and came to this country many years ago. His wife died thirteen years ago. A funeral service was held in Box's Funeral Parlors on Monday morning, followed by interment in Maitlandbank ceme- tery. Rev. H. V. Workman officiated at theservice and the pallbearers were Messrs. Charles Barnett, Ed. Mole, John A. Stewart, Harry Martin, John McKenzie and George Dickson. Entertain Brussels Y. P. — The Brussels Young People were enter- tained at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday when about forty-five were in .attendance. Mr. R. W. Mc- -Millan welcomed the visitors; Mr. Shortreed gave the Scripture lesson, and Miss 'Isabel McTavish led in prayer. Miss Eckmeir gave a very fine reading, and, , Rev. Sam Kerr gave an interesting talk on the verse •of Scripture, "So run -that ye may obtain." .Mrs. Frank Kling led • in community singing, after which con- tests and quizzes were conducted by Mr. Claire Reith and Mice Reid. Miss Kathleen Holmes and Mr. Louis Hem- berger contributed solos. Following the games a delightful lunch -vas served, and the meeting closed with the National -Anthem. Grant - McLean, -'--First Presbyter- ian Church, effective with forsythia and cherry blossoms, was the setting Saturday evening for a pretty cere- mony' when Helen Louise McLean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mc- PhaiI McLean, was united in marriage oto James Hubert Grant, son of Mrs. Grant, London, and the late John Donald :Grant. Rev. Hugh Jack offic- iated and Mr. Earl VanEgmond play- ed the wedding music.' Given in ,mar- riage by Bier father, the bride wore a gown of white faille silk made on princess°'lines and her full skirt swept into a, slight train.. Her •finger -length veil of net was held by a halo of Battenburg lace worn by the bride's mother, and she carried Sweetheart roses. The matron of honor, Mrs- G. 0- Jarrott, Stratford, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaid, Miss Ellen Sutherland, Woodstock, were gowned alike in frocks with taffeta bodices and net skirts, the former in Ameri- can Beauty red and the latter in Wedgwood blue. The floral and net headdresses an() th"eir4ascade bou- quets -,matched their gowns. The groomsman was Stewart Wright, To- sionto, and the ushers Donald Grant, -London; -Andrew McLean and Ian Mc- Lean, Seaforth. A. reception was held later at the home of the bride's par- ents, where the guests 'were received, by the bride's mother and the mother of the bridegroom. Later the couple left for a wedding trip, the, bride travelling in a lime green dress- and hat, navy blue coat and matching ac- cessories. On their return they will reside ;at 8 .Mallory Gardens, Toronto. Londoners who attended the wedding were Mrs. J. D. Grant and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ashplant, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Ashplant and Miasee Ann and Lillian Grant. Mr. Laurie Fowlie, of London, spent the week -end with his sisters, Frances and Ethel. Frederick W. McEwan, with his brother, Joseph, partner in a sawmill and threshing business here and in Clinton, died early Wednesday, in Clin- ton hospital after a short illness. A native of Goderidh, he was. born Aug. 20, 1867, son of the'late Joseph Mc - 'Ewan and Elizabeth. McCullough. He came with his parents to Bayfield fliore than 50 years ago. His first wife, the -former Emma Sarah Peck,. predeceased him in 1916. His second wife, ,;Ellen Peck, whom he married in 1919,-snrvives hiss, Also surviving are two (brothers, Joseph and Samuel, and a nieces Doris McEwan, all of Bayfield, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Knuekey, Toronto. He had been living with his grand nephew, Allan L Meredith, near Wallaceburg, for the past eight months and died after 'a few hours' illness. He was' born in Scotland and came to this country many years ago. His wife died thirteen years ago. A funeral service was held in Box's Funeral Parlors on Monday morning, followed by interment in Maitlandbank ceme- tery. Rev. H. V. Workman officiated at theservice and the pallbearers were Messrs.
