Northside W. M. S. Meets. — The
July meeting of the W.M.S. of North-
side United Church was held Thurs-
day, July 10. the theme for the year
being t'Living the Christian Lite," and
for the month, "Demonstrating the
Way of Christ in Brotherhood." In
the absence of -Mrs. --Lawson, Miss
Lawrence took charge of the first
period, of the meeting and opened the
meeting by the use of the hymn,
"Rise Up. Oh Men of God," followed
by prayer by Miss Lawrence. The
nnudes were read and seconded by
Mrs. AcDermid. Six visits had been
made by Circle 6. It was moved by
Mrs.. McIntosh and seconded by Mrs.
Harburn, that Mrs. Lawson, Miss
Ferguson andMrs. _Cut= be the
committee to secured' a guest speak-
er for the fall thankoffering. The
treasueer's report was read by Mrs.
Archinald, Mrs. Kaine again pres-
ented the temperance question, this
time along the linen of temperance
education. After roll call, Miss
Lawrence gave a short reading on
"The Church of Christ in: Japan."
Circle No. 1 then took charge of the
devotional period; under the leader-
ship of Mr. Rintoul, who opened
this period of the rneeting by re-
sponsive reading ,of Psalm 72, follow-
ed by the Ysinging of the National An-
them. The meting then took the
form •of a questionaire and the an-
swers were given by members of Cir-
cle No. 1. The hymn, "In Christ
There is No East- or West," as then
sung and the collection received, and
the meeting closed with Mrs. Rinteul
leading in prayer. .

ed the funerall of Philip Kenny in
Dublin last Monday.
The farmersare rejoicing since the'
cool weather set inand with the fine
showers which have caused' the grain
to fill and a good sample is expecte
ed 'With a good turnout. Cutting
wheat and barley is the order of the
day.
The corn crop is doing fine, as the
dry hot weather favors it, but the
root crop needs more rain.
Mr. Dan Manley, of London spent'
the week -end with bis parents, Mr.
and Mrs. W. J. Manley.
ZURICH
Mrs. Oscar Klopp, well-known resi-
dent' here, died Wednesday at her
home. Mrs. Klopp was born in Hay
Township, and upon • -her marriage
moved to a farm west of here where
Mr. and Mrs. 'Knopp resided until they
moved to Zurich a few years - ago.
Surviving are her husband; three
daughters, Mrs. Len'Haist, Detroit;
Mrs. Earl Youn,gbhat and Delores,
both of Zuricn; three sons, Harold
and Wil-fred, both of London, and
Howard, of this village; her fathen
Caspar elWalper, Zurich; three deters,
Mrs. Schneider and Mrs. Krueger;. of
Detroit, anal Mrsntharles. Stewart, of
Toronto; and one brether, Edmund
Walper, of Dashwood. The funeral
will be held from the residence on
Friday at 2 p.m. Rev..Mr. Tuerkheita
will officiate.

A pretty July wedding Of special in-
terest was solemnized at St Patrick's
Church, Dublin, on Saturday morning
when Miss Theresa Delaney, Deputy
Sb.eriff of Huron County, fifth daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. James Delaney,

William Britton presided. The theme
was 'Demonstrating the Way of
