Make Grant To War Victims' Fund. --The C.W.L. held its regular month- ly meeting Tuesday evening in the parish hall with a very good attend- ance. The president, Miss Alice Daly, presided. The minutes of the prev- ious meeting were read by Miss Lor- etto Faulkner and reports of other ac- tivities were given by the various of- ficers. It was moved that ten dollars be donated to the War Victims' fund_ After the business discussion ended a short quiz program was indulged in' which was greatly enjoyed by all. April 27th, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Rue.sell, was buried Tuesday, April 29th, from the United Church, Angusville. Rev. A. Calder officiated. Born and educated at Sea - forth, Ont., Mr. Angus came to Mani- tiba in March, 1887. He settled in Sliver Creek municipality and moved to Angusville in the spring of 1909. MAY 9J9 Young People Meet. -The regular meeting of the Northside United Church Young- People was held on Tuesday evening with Miss Alice Hud- son presiding in the absence of the presid:ent. The meeting opened with the hymn, "All the Way My Saviour Leads Me," followed by the Lord's Prayer. Miss Maxine Lawrence, sec- retary, reed- the minutes of the last meeting and were adopted as correct by Miss Jean Sneale. The business was then discussed. Miss Alice Hud- son, social convener, took charge of the remainder of the meeting. "God Save the King" was sung, followed by Scripture readings read by Misa Doro- thy Spence and Miss Jean Smale. IVliss Jessie Dennis led in prayer and was followed by a questionaire of Bible quotations. , A reading, "The Song the Lazy Farmer," was read by Miss Maxine Lawrence. Contests were en- joyed by all and the meeting closed by singing "0 Canada" and the Miz- pah benediction.
