Death of Mrs. Joseph Mero.—One
of Seaforth's most respected resi-
dents 'passed away on Thursday
morning at her home on• North Main
Street in, the person of Matilda Bed-
ard, wife of Mr. Joseph Mero. Mrs.
Mea'o was; born in Hay Towns'hi'p 75
years ago and was married 53 years-
ago to Mr. Mero. 'They lived in Hay
Township for a number of years and
then came to sive on the Huron Road
west of Seaforth, eighteen years ago
removing to Seaforth. Mrs. Mero has
beer, in failing Health for two years,
but -was not beri,ous until two months
agoT. ' She is survived' by her husband,
three Sons, Albert, of Goderich; Ad-
am, ofSeaforth and Alton, of Kit-
chener, and eight daughters, Mrs.
Charles Andrews, Port Colborne; Mrs.
Wirhiam Lemke,' Kitchener; Mrs. Jno,
Klein,- Pontiac, Micth,e Mrs, B. •H'am-
rlton, ""Toronto; Mrs. Marie Hickey,
Seatorth; Mrs,. Elmer Rossmeier, Pon-
tiac, Mich„ Mrs. Emily Givens, Lon-
don., and Miss Alber•tiile Mero, Ha . -
ilton. She is also survived by three

arty Ladies' Aid met at the hocue-of
Mrs. William Houghton with a full
attendance. The president, Mr, .Roy
McCulloch, was in the chair and read

donald was pianist foe the day. Mane

solemnized at the Parsonage at Lon-

hat ,.and wore a corsage of Talisman
roses and navy accessories; She was

es. The bridegroom was supported
by his brother, Mr, William Jewitt.
The groom's gift to the bride was a
