G. Crawford', head of the men's Bo-

tion Army in Detroit fat many years,
died in that city last week. Col.
Crawford', who died at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. William Barks,
15053 Faircieft, was born at Seaforth,
Ont., September 26, ,1865. He became
an officer in the Salvation Army in
1893 and retired from active service
in Detroit in 1932.

tendance at 'the meeting of the Wo-
men's' Association of the Egmondville
United Church held on Thursday af-
ternoon at the home of Mrs. John
McLachlan, in Tuckersraith. Miss
Thelma Elgie presided. Miss Elford,
Who is vacationing at the home of
her parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. Elford,
gave a very, interesting talk on her
work as teacher in an Indian school
in British Columbia. The association
has had a most successful year, $170
having been raised since 'January
last. Lunch was served by the ladies.

Entertain For Bride -Elect. - On
Thursday afternoon' and evening last
Mrs. Ruby Crowell entertained at her
home to tea in honor of her daugh-
ter, Blanche, whose marriage takes
place on August'3rd. The tea, table
was Prelffirdeeerated with roses and
pink tapers. Wire. Thornes Baker,
grandinoeher of the "bride -elect, pour-
ed tea in the afternoon and was as-

on Saturdatv morning last, when 'Rev.
Father F. J. (YDrowski united in mar-
riage Ella Marie, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James O'Sullivan, to Ms Ed-
mund of Dublin. Given in
marriage by her father, the bride
looked charming in a dress of pale
blue Sheer .with accessories in white
and wore a corsage of 'roses and
baby's breath.' Ethel O'He.arn, sister
of the groom, was bridesmaid and
wore a gown of pink sheer with white
accessories and carried pink roses.
Leo O'Sullivan•, brother of the bride,
was the groomsman. Following the
ceremony a wedding dinner .was serve
ed in the Royal Hotel, Mitchell, with
members, of the family and guests,
present. After a honeymoon trip Mr.

A pretty midsummer' wedding was
solemnized at two o'clock Saturday
afternoon , at . the hone of Mir and
Mrs. Thomas Agnew, 512 Piccadilly
Street, London, when their youngest
daughter, Margaret Kathleen, was
united in marriage to Harry Coleman,
son of Mr. and Mrs.. John Coleman,
of 4.70 EgertonStreet. The ceremony
was performed by the bride's uncle,
Rev. J. Agnew, of the Empress Ave.
'Church,. The bride wasgiven in mar-
eiage by her father, and wore a gown
of blush pink sheer crepe with pink
accessories and wore a bouquet of
briareliffe roses and baby breath. The
bride was attendee by 'Miss Jean
Quiek; in a beige costume with brown
accessories and a corsage of Talis-
man roses. The groom was assisted
by,. Percy Prince. Following the cere-
mony a buffet •luncheon was served
on the lawn to the immediate rela-
tives at the bride's home. The bride's
mother wore a gown Of mauve lace
and yellow roses and' Tern,while the
groom's mother received in .a mul-
berry Sheer crepe gown, also wearing
yellow roses and fern. Later Mr. and
Mrs. Coleman left by motor for Norte -
ern Ontario points,. The bride wore
for travelling a sky' blue and white
crepe dress with white hat; coat and
white accessories. On their' return
they will reside at 470 Egerton St.,
Landau.
Mr, and' Mrs. Milton Steiert were
'in Londion 'on Saturday attending the
Coleman - Agnew wedding.
The July meeting of the W. M. S.
and W. A. Duff's Church, McKillop,
was held et the home of Mrs. Ches-
ter Henderson with a good attend
ance. Mrs. -Ross Mu.rdie presided,

"Peace, Patriotism and Ohrlstjan
