Smith had his, first meal of new pota-
toes from! his ow -n, garden. .And they

anything that has been imported this
year, while the yield is excellent
Died in Saskatoon. -Mrs. - S. Boyd
received a wire on Wednesday an-
nouncing the sad news, of the death
of her son, Mr. George Boyd, which
occurred in Saskatoon that day. Mr.
Boyd had been seriously -ill for some
-time. The deceasedwas born in. Sea -
forth and spent his early life here,
but had been a resident of the West
for abOtif twenty-five years.' Mr.
Boyd had a host of friends here who
will sincerely regret to Seas of his
Geath. His mother and sister, Mrs.
H. J. Gibson, reside in Seaforth, and
he has another. sister, Mrs. B. Wil-
liams, whose home is in: Stratford.
Barbara 'Kirkman Auxiliary Meets.
—The June meeting of the Barbara
Kirkman Auxiliary of First Prestby,
terian Church was held on, Tuesday
evening. The R.oss. group' was , in
charge with Mrs. W. A. Wright in
the chair. The opening eXercises and
the' business. part of the meeting were
taken by the presildent, Miss Greta
Rms. The current events, consisting.
.of interesting world news, were read
by Miss Roes. The Scripture lesson
.was read by Mrs. W. M. Stewart and
the prayers' by Miss, Ross, Mrs. W. A..
Wright and Mrs. J. A. Kerr. . The
vocal sato given by Mrs. M. McKel-
Me, was mach enjoyed. The topic on
medical work in India was taken by
Mrs. Robert Smith. ,There will be

sheer over taffetta and wore a white
picture bat Her bouquet was Johan-
na Hill roses and corn flowers. The
groom was attended by his brother,'
Harvey Nott, of London. Fol-
lowing a luncheon at the bride'altome
the happy couple left on a motor trip
to Northern Ontario, the bride trav-
elling in a rose -printed sheer with a
grey coat and navy accessories. Up-
on their return they will reside at
Seaforth.
Dies in Lethbridge.—The death oc-
curred in a local hospital onr Tuesday
of Montgomery Caldwell, farmer of
the Warn.er district., says the Leth-
bridge Herald of June 18th. He was
born in Seaforth, Ont., on SepteMber
7, 1865, and had resided in South Al-
berta for the Past 28 years. He had
been in ill health for five months.. De-
ceased was a Past Master of Verdi-
gris' Lodge No. ipo A.P. & A.M.; also
a member of the Workmen's Lodge
of North Dakota. Mr, Caldwell is
survived by his widow, Mrs. Lydia
Caldwell, of Warner; one son anal six
daughters: William] Roy Caldwell, of
Warner; Mrs. F, W. Fraedlch of Lyn-
wood, Calif.; Mrs. R. V. Rains, Mrs.
R. J. Buchanan, Mrs. Paul Jones, and
Mrs, Alex Marr, of Warner; Mrs. W.
K. Watson of Calgary. 'Three bro-
thers and one sister, Jane Caldwell,
reticle in the United' States.

Death of William Trott..—The death
occurred in Scott. Memorial Hospital
here on Tuesday, June 25th, of Wil-
liam Trott, Mr. Trott had only been
ill for about a month, but he hadn't
shfficient strength to threw off the
disease from which he Suffered. He
was in his 71st year, having been
born in Daglan•d, Use son of Mr. an&
Mns. George Trott. - Coming to Can-
ada when he was 18 years old he
settled in Seaforth where. he has
since resided. Ahoutefortyytwo years
ago he was married to Emma Wright,
who prededeased him a year ago.
Two Seas, Clifford and Clarence, and
tme daughter, Mrs.. -William M•eKay,
survive. He is also survived by one
brother, George Trott, of Salem, Ore-
gon, and four sisters, Mrs. John
Hearne, Tillionburg; Mrs. Charles
Priddle, Tillsonburg; Mrs. Frank
Hamilton, and Mrs. William
Goat Waterford. The funeral took
place from his late home on Thurs-
day to 1VIaltlandbank cemetery with
Rev. H. V. Workman, officiating The
pallbearers were John. •Cluff, Arnold
Westcott, P. J. Dons•ey, Robert Pink-
ney, A. W. 'Etintlop and. Allen Reid. .
