ed to her eternal home, Ellen MCKIM-
• ley, wife of the late Georgie DowSon.
Deceased, who was in her 80th year,

Mrs: Peter Krauskopf, a highly re-
spected resident of 'Hibbert township,
died suddenly at .ler borne on Wed-

Evidence of the value of properly
fattening market- 'poultry was well
demonstrated 'recently by producers
in districts of Quebec. In these dis-
tricts the producers crate or pen fat-
tened their young Cockerels before
marketing and as a result a good
percentage of the birds were made
Ito qualify for the Milkfed Class and
brought ° a premium of twit> to three
cents per pound which is offered for
1Virilkfed birds o'er Selected.
:Proper fattening isandinnortant
part of any poultry :markeing pro-
gram. There is nie kind of poultry
to which this applies -more forcefully
than to yoUng cockerels of broiler
weights markerbed during the summer
onths. The market :generally be -
domes somewhat over-suppli with
birds 'during June,
July ,anci a part of August, which arre
difficult to Move intro . consumption
and are not suritalble for export.
'Consumption of •poultry can be in-
creased on the 'home .market by sell-
ing the top grades, and 'premium
prices are offered for such quality.
The 'export rmarket will 'abslorb large
quantities of Malkfed Chickeng weigh
ing from two to four and one-balf
pounds per bird. By producing to'
'meet the requirements on the home
and export markets it should he /Ms -
bible to avoid any glut of dressed
poultry.
