James Barbour. -One of the tiniest pioneer residents of this district passed peacefulgy away on' Wednesday Morning, April 15, at the horror of his daughter, Mrs. W. War- den, ;Stratford, in the person of Jas'. Barbleun. The deceased was 'in his. 89th year. Although ee, far advanc- ed 'in age he was remarkably Alert until a few months ago when he be- came ill and gradually grew weaker. He was of ,a quiet disposition but al - way§ took a great interest in the of - fairs of life and in his late years' spent meat of his. time reading. 'Fifty, eight years ago 'he was united in .:rniteriage 'to Jane 'Miller and lived tprectically 'all his life in Rashest Township where ibis' faximed success- fully. In 1916 he retired to Seaforth where he resided until Mrs. Barbour's death fourteen years ago, after which he made hiseherne with his family, spending some time each. year in this vicirety. • He was a member of the. Presbyterian Church, Seaforth. Mr. Barbour is survived by all his fainely, six daughteir and two sons: 'Mrs. A. Patrick, McKillop; Mrs. W. Worden, Strait:feed; Mrs. J. Davis, Seaforth; Mrs. E. Dinnin, Seafortle Mrs. R. Cloward, Grimsby; Mrs. R.
