Mrs. Thomas Kyle, of 'Clinton, and
Mrs. Emerson Kyle and Miss Beat-
rice Cooper, of the village, spent a
day in London during the past week.
Dr. 'Gilbert Jarrott, of 'Seaforth,
called at the horme of his parents,
Mr, and Mrs. Isaac Jarrott, of the
v,illage;. dntrirug the past week. We

Mr. R,oy ,Kyle, who has been en-
gaged with Mn T'hbmas BwtYfor 'the
'summer, left during the past week
for Northern 'Ontario, where he has
secured, a job.
An olds.'time dance was held in
Watson's Hall on Friday evening and
being the first one of the winter, a
good crowd was present and enjoyed
the music provided by Denoany's
orchestra.
Mr. Geb. E. Thomson, of the '2nd
concession of Hay, had the misfor-
tune to lose 'a good colt during the
past weeek.
Euchre Club Meets
The Euchre 'Club held its last ;meet-
ingbefore Christmas at the home of
:Mrs. John Deitz on Monday evening
last and what a n'igh't of real euchre.
Everyone was in the best of tune
and fun to No end was enjoyed by all.
The first prizes were awarded to 'Mr.
and. Mrs. Thos. Butt and the consola-
tion prizes went to Mr. 'and MTS. W.
L. M•e11ds.
Mn, and Mars. wiljdanu 'Butt, of
,Seaforth, paid a visit during the
week at the homes of their sons, Ed-
gar and Thlomas, of the 'village. Mr.
and Mrs. 'Butt acre always weldome
visitors •am'ong the Kippen people.
Mrs. 'George Mo0lbnchey, of Var-
na, visited at' the home of her daugh-
ter, Mrs. •Camler°on Kyle, of the vil-
lage.
We are sorry to mention that Mr.
John Mc/Naughton, of ' Twcicersmnith,
is not as well as his many* friends
would like to see, but his many
friends hlop'e he may soon bake a. de-
cided change for the better.
