A Hallowe'en Appeal
There's a job that's worth while do-
ing, and it surely must be done,
Before the Lions Frolic opens on
October thirty -cone;
Every boy and girl in Seaforth, and
in the country too,
Expect a bag of candy, and they're
looking straight at you.
Do you mind when you were little,
not so many years ago,
When Dad and Mother every week, to
market had to go?
And you couldn't play for thinking,
how slow the 'hours went by
For you knew that Dad would bring
you a big bright striped "Bull's
Eye, ,
Well, to -day is not so different, there
re rain's' that some old truth;
There never was a kiddie born with-
out a big sweet tooth.
And that's the way of children, I
know and so do you,
So We'll all dig up a shining, or bet-
ter, let's make it two.
There are daddies out of work this
years; theme are anxious mothers,
too,
And every night and morning they
wonder if they'll pull through;
And Hallowe'en is Hallowe'en, and it
won't be tdo dear in the end,
If we all -turn out and hear them shout
and know they call us Friend'.
When they all line up with the "Iii1-
ties" and the march is off to the
Rink,
And you're standing there on the
sidewalk, you just can't help but
think:
I didn't give so very much, but I felt
it was all I could do,
It's quite alright. you gave your mite.
See—they're smiling straight a:
you.
LION J. B.
to the fun -loving public will be the
bind cage game, introduced by Lions
Keating and Bechely.
Chilef.-en's, events will be looked
after by Lions Jackson, Meir, Smith,
Burrows, Ross, Appleyard and Hus-
sey. And if the number of contest-
ants are anything like they were last
year they will have their hands full.
At the end of the evening the new
car'and other valuable prizes will be
drawn for at the ;Rink and the lucky
winners declared. Lion Charles Stew-
art, who throughout the evening will
have tickets on the prizes for sale,
will be in charge.
And ending it all yvil1 be the Lions
midnight show at the Regent Theatre
where "In Caliente," featuring De-
lores, Del Rio and other famous
stars, will be playing.
