Mission Band Meets The May meeting of .the Gleaner 'Mission Band was held recently in the -basement of the church with 38 members in attendance. Jack Bryans presided over the meeting which op- ened by s'in'ging "Tell 'Me the Stories of Jesus," after which the Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. The Scripture lesson was read by Kath- leen Leeming amid a story was read by Kathleen Farquharson. The min- utes of the last meeting were read and adopted. A story on Indian Mis- sions was read by Mrs. E. Bry.ans after which classes formed for study period. The meeting closed by all repeating the friendship -prayer as outlined in the study book, MANLEY . Mr. James Eckart left last week to seek his fortune in, the gold -mines of Timmins and join his brothers, Stephen and Peter, vvho have made good in their undertaking. We are pleased to learn. that 'Mrs. Th'om'as Purcell and Dors.
