James Richard Ryan, second young-
est son of Mr. and Mrs. 'Jos.'Ryan,
Lot 33, .Concession 14, McKillop,
passed away early Friday morning.
'The deceased' was in his 20th year
land was a patient sufferer for elev-
en years. Besides his bereaved par-
ents, he leaves to mourn their loss
three 'brother's, Joseph, -Lawrence and'
Gordon, and four sisters,. Marie, at
Itom'e; 'Mrs. 'Press,' Glendon, Alta.;
Aileen, of Brantford, and Florence,
of London. The funeral was held on
Monday morning froth' the Rotnan
Catholic Church, Brussels. The pall-
bearers were six cousins of the de-
-ceated: Lewis and Norman.Rowland,
Fergus -.Klein, John, Joseph and Jas.
Lane, Friends who attended tl.e fun-
eral from a distance were Mr. and
.Mrs. James IVI.cLaiighlin, London; Mr.
And. Mrs. Klein, St. Marys; Miss
Madalene Baeicer, R.N., London, and
Miss Ella Ryan, of Thainesville. In-
terment was made in Brussels R. C.
cemetery.

On Monday, May 29th, there passed
away at the old homestead farm,'
Goshen Line, Stanley, Ellen McLinch-1
ey, daughter af the late Mr. and Mrs.
cHenry McLinchey, in her 60th year.
1She had a stroke about a year and a;
;half ago and since then had been
unable to 'get around. Though con-;
fin.ed to her room, she was always
tvery patient and cheerful and enjoy-
ed .having her friends call to visit,
her. IShe is survived by three bro-
thers and two sisters, George, of
'Varna; Albert and Arthur, at home;'
Mrs. Vviin. Hart, of Stanley, and Miss
'Eliza, at home; also a large number
of nephews and nieces. The funeral
eervice, 'which was held on Thursday,
-was conducted by Rev. IMr. Paull, of
Bayfield, interment being made _in
the family plot in Barfield cemetery.
The pallbearers were six nephews:
'Orval MeLinchey, Wit/ter 11kLinehey,
Bernie 'McLinchey, Norman Stephen-
son, Albert 'AtcLinchey and Willie Mc-
Linchey.
'Mr. David J. Stephenson and Mr.
F. Coleman left last week to visit
friends in Manitoba. They expect to
be away about a month.

Mrs. Elgin 'McKinley spent the week
k1d with friends ie Bay City, Mich.,
