Death remlaved one of the oldest resd- d'ents of this district on Thursday, March 30th, when ,Mrs. Rdbt• Powell passed away at her home in Egmond- ville, at the great age of 91 years, Mrs. -Powell, whose maiden name was Catharine Wallace, was !born 1 in County Down, Ireland, and 70 years ago was united in marriae^e at •Ln ;_ don, to Mr. Robert Pow'�e?:, In 1878 the family moved) to Eg-m,ondville, where she has since been a continu- ous resident. ,Mrs. Powell was a re- markably active woman and was able to attend to her -household du- ties un'ti'l the day; ,before her death, when she suffered 'a stroke . of apoplexy.
