Will Hold Week Of Prayer. - The
churches of the town will observe the
first [week of January as a week of
prayer. The .prograrres and dates
will be announced next week.

Cars Crash. -Two cars crashed at
the corner of Goderieh and Main
Streets on Tuesday and one of them
'tame out of the fracas less a fender.
The accident was caused: by one of
the cars skidding through the stop
street and hitting the other car,
which was travelling along /he high-
way.

Band Will Hold Euchre and Dance.
-Arrangeneents have been complet-
ed by the Highlanders Band to hold
a euchre and dance on Friday, Janu-
ary 13th. Further announcement will
be made next week.
Hold Statutory Meeting. - Sea -
forth council met in the town hall on
Thursday evening last for the stat-
uary 'meeting. Routine business was
attended to and the 'treasurer's state-
ment passed.
Nominations Next Monday.---Sea-
forth will hold nominations on Mon-
day evening next and an.:..election, if
it is necessary, will be' held the, fol-
lowing Monday. Tuckersinith and
McKillop are holding ' their nomina-
tions on Friday of this week and their
erections on January 2nd.
Many Apply For Invitations. -A
large number of applications for in-
vitations to the annual' Alumni re-
union dance have been received and
it is expected that there will be many
more. The committee ask that as
many as possible purchase admission
tickets from the secretary, A. Y. Mc-
Lean, before the day of the dance in
order to avoid confusion and save de-
lay at the door.
Play First Game Next Week. -The
Beavers, Seaforth's Intermediate 01
H. A. hockey- team, will play their
•first game here on Tuesday evening
next. The team has been practising
faithfully. and should give ai excel-
lent account of themselves on Tues-
day. It is expected that a large
erowd will be out to cheer the Beav-
ers.
Injured Practising Hockey. -Jerry
Doyle, St.- Golumban hockey player,
was injured at the Palace Rink on
Thursday evening last during a prac-
tise game. Knocked d•own' when he
skated into, another player, Doyle was
rendered/ unconscious. Dr, W. C.
Sproat vy-as called and had the injur-
ed plaYer removed to Scott 'Memorial
Hospital, where it was found he was
suffering from cuts and a slight con-
cussion.
