Your Town Needs a
Sewer System,
111444104414
Recently a series of 'articles appeared in this paper
under the above heading. That these articles con-
tained a wealth of authentic and useful information,.
none can deny, and all who read them should now
possess a good knowledge of our municipal require-
ments and the advantages to be gained thereby:
We have heard comment, pro and con, in the of-
fice, in the stores and oh the streets, but, wehave not
heard from that source to which we Took for guid-
ance, from that (source whom we annually put into
power, to supervise and look after our interests,
those to whose judgment and wisdom, we trust our
municipal properties and business, and who•,also, we
hope lay the foundations for our future prosperity,
we refer to, the Mayor and Members of our Min-
icipal Council.
Soon our citizens will be electing a Mayor and
Council for the year 1933. Are we presumptuous in
asking our retiring and incoming representatives to
debate this interesting' and essential utility.
It is too important to turn aside with the com-
ment, "We can't afford it." Financial is not the
only consideration; there are others of equal, if not
more vital importance, health, decency, progress and
the undisputable fact that we.know we.should have
a sewer system.
We are .aware that there is a problem involved,
one requiring careful consideration; one, that, with-
out debate will not be decided:- Here is an oppor-
tunity for candidates to show. their knowledge .and
worth. Gentlemen, the citizens of Seaforth await
your remarks and opinions. They are ready to, hear
you before, during, or after nominations.
What will you say? You know your Town needs
a sewer system. .
