Iin- 'mediately both- took flight and ran into the -woods. PLAY OFF DATES FOR HURON FOOTBALL SET Four Teams Will Play in Finals ; Softball 'Games For Eceelstone Cup Set. The dates of ;the Huron County Football Association play-offs have been announced recently by the Secretary of the League, A. W. Dick, Seaforth. The seirni,finals will ;be completed by the end of the month. Of the Six teams to splay in the league, four are in the play-offs. In the first ,serlea, St. ,Columban plays at Egmond,hlf; on (Saturday, Au�gus,t 27th, with the return game at St. Columiban on, Wednesday, August 31. In the second •series Walton pays at Brussels on 'Friday, August 26, with the return garne_ at Walton on Monday, August 29th. Should a 'tie result bhe (play-offs will take place on Friday, -September 2nd. The -'final •games ,will be arranged by ,the wilipers and 'are to be played by .Sepstm ber 12th. All games will start,slhanp at 6 'pmt. • ,Softball Dates Set, At a meeting of the- .executive of the Harron S`o'ftibasll League,.'. -held in Clinton last Friday, it was arranged' that the four high teams of the league, Seaforth, Grand! Bend, Clin- ton and Goderich, would play for the Ecclestone Croup on 'Wednesday, Aug- ust 31st at Clinton. This 'Cup, which is for annual coma petition,>was ,presented -this year, to the League by Mrs. 'George Eceel- st'one. The finial games each year are played where the cup was held the (previous year. . In .the first round, Seaforth meet, Goderich and Clinton plays' the Bend. The winners of these games play the finals about 5.30 the same day. Dates for the 'Sills' •Cup have not as yet been announced.
